An image processing system includes plural image processing devices connected with each other by a network. In the one image processing device, in a case where a new job accepted by a job accepting unit may not be executed immediately, a control unit transmits image data related to the job to the other image processing device capable of image processing and causes the other image processing device to execute image processing. In the other image processing device, the control unit assesses whether or not an image processing result is to be returned to the one image processing device, and transmits the image processing result to the one image processing device to execute a final process if assessed to return the image processing result, but executes the final process of the image processing result in the other image processing device if assessed not to return the image processing result.

An information processing apparatus (10) includes a processor capable of executing IP facsimile communication and a job other than the IP facsimile communication, a facsimile tone signal being transmitted/received as audio data in the IP facsimile communication; a storage (12) that stores a first or second level, which represents a mode for executing the IP facsimile communication; and a control unit (11) that determines whether the first or second level is stored in the storage, respectively selects a first mode and a second mode when determining that the first level and the second level are stored in the storage, and when receiving an execution instruction of the IP facsimile communication in the first mode and the second mode, respectively causes the processor to stop an uncompleted job and then preferentially execute the IP facsimile communication, and to execute an uncompleted job and the IP facsimile communication in parallel.

The invention includes an arrangement determiner that determines an arrangement of a plurality of images, a rendering processor that performs rendering on the plurality of images in accordance with a result of detection processing for detecting an off line, on which none of the images are present across a target range in a second direction perpendicular to a first direction in which a print medium is transported, in the target range including the plurality of images arranged in accordance with a determination performed by the arrangement determiner, and a halftone processor that performs halftone processing on the images on which the rendering has been performed and outputs to the printing apparatus the images on which the halftone processing has been performed.

Print jobs call for printing multiple logical pages on the same sheet, using base colorants and an extension colorant, and call for a different number of printing passes of the extension colorant for different logical pages. A first bitmap is created, and a first printing pass prints the first bitmap. The first bitmap is then modified to leave only the extension colorant plane, to create a modified bitmap; and a second printing pass prints the modified bitmap on the same sheet. The modified bitmap is additionally modified by removing printing pixels for the logical pages that do not contain an instruction to perform an additional printing pass of the extension colorant; and an additional printing pass prints the modified bitmap. These printing passes are repeated until no more of the logical pages contain the instruction to perform an additional printing pass of the extension colorant.

An image reading apparatus comprises a first reading section; a second reading section; a conveyance section which conveys the sheet sequentially to the first reading section and the second reading section; a control section which executes a first storage operation of storing image data read by the first reading section in a storage section and a second storage operation of storing image data read by the second reading section in the storage section, determines whether the reading operations of the first reading section and the second reading section, the first and the second storage operations are ended normally and deletes, if any one of the operations is not ended normally, the image data of the sheet not scanned normally stored in the storage section.

Disclosed is an image forming apparatus including: a reading unit; a print unit; a transmitting unit; an execution instruction receiving unit; and a control unit, wherein in case that before a predetermined time elapses since the execution instruction receiving unit receives a first execution instruction for executing a first job including reading of the original set to the reading unit, the execution instruction receiving unit receives a second execution instruction for executing a second job including the reading of the original, and in case that the first execution instruction and/or the second execution instruction is a remote instruction, the control unit controls the transmitting unit so as not to transmit the image of the original even though a transmitting instruction for transmitting the image of the original is included in the first execution instruction and/or the second execution instruction.

An image printing apparatus includes a printer assembly, a control panel configured to receive a user input, a memory, and a controller. The controller is configured to receive first data from a first data source such as a PC external to the printer assembly, store the first data in the memory, and control the printer assembly to print a first image based on the first data stored in the memory. In response to a first user input received from the control panel during the print of the first image, the controller is configured to receive second data from a second data source such as a scanner assembly, and store the second data in the memory during the print of the first image.

A print control apparatus includes a memory, a print processing unit, and an erase processing unit. The memory stores one or more pieces of print data each representing print content and being subjected to a print process. The print processing unit performs the print process for a piece of print data stored in the memory, and generates a piece of post-process data that represents print content. The erase processing unit moves, to a trash or a deletion folder, a piece of data for which the print process has been performed among one or more pieces of data stored in the print processing unit, and performs an erase process for a storage area of the piece of data that has been moved, the erase process being a process of data overwriting and being performed in parallel with the print process that is performed for another piece of print data.
