INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, IMAGE READING APPARATUS, INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD, AND NON- TRANSITORY COMPUTER READABLE MEDIUM

An information processing apparatus includes an acquisition unit and an output unit. The acquisition unit acquires a read image obtained by an image reading unit by reading at least a formation portion of a document to which a code image has been affixed, the code image being formed. The output unit outputs at least one of a recommended formation condition, which is a recommended condition used when the code image is formed on the document, and a recommended reading condition, which is a recommended condition used when the image reading unit reads the formation portion, on the basis of the read image acquired by the acquisition unit.

The present invention is directed to systems and methods for configuring network devices that include native scanning or image-reading elements. Network configuration information is provided in a scannable image. A network device reads the scannable image and extracts configuration data from the image. The device then uses the extracted configuration data to configure the device to operate on a desired network.

A non-transitory storage medium stores instructions executable by an information processing server communicable with a device capable of executing a print processing and a scan processing. A delivery address and a second surface image are to be printed on first and second surfaces of a delivery object. First feature information indicates a feature of the second surface image. The information processing server reads delivery address information and the first feature information associated with each other, when scan information is newly received. The information processing server extracts sample image information when the read delivery address information is the same as the delivery address information contained in the newly-received scan information. The sample image information is for displaying a sample image corresponding to the second surface image having a feature indicated by the first feature information associated with the read delivery address information.

An information processing apparatus is provided and enables a user to selectively apply setting data the user desires to be applied to target equipment. Information on various setting values is obtained from a scanned image of a sheet on which information on various setting values applicable to the information processing apparatus is printed. Then, based on the obtained information, a setting value designated by a user among the various setting values is applied to the information processing apparatus.
