An image forming apparatus includes an operating mechanism, a storage device, and a control device. The operating mechanism executes a job. The control device functions as a controller. When accepting a request to prepare execution of the job, the controller allows the operating mechanism to prepare the execution of the job to thus generate data for output and allows the storage device to save the data for output. When accepting a request to execute the job, the controller allows the operating mechanism to execute the job based on the data for output.

An information processing system includes an information processing apparatus that provides an electronic apparatus with a service by way of a web application. The system includes a memory and circuit. The memory is configured to store information relating to a setting item of the web application, and store a setting value to be set to the setting item. The circuitry is configured to generate a setting screen based on the information relating to the setting item and the setting value, and update the setting value stored in the memory based on an instruction for configuring settings relating to an operation screen of the web application that is displayed at the electronic apparatus, the instruction being accepted through the setting screen being displayed to the terminal apparatus.

A system and method for customized multifunction peripherals includes a document processing controller including a processor and a memory, a scanner, a scanner engine, a printer, a user input and a display. The memory stores electronic customization groups, each corresponding to a unique business type. Each electronic customization group includes electronic files, such as forms, applications, screen backgrounds, company logos, screen positioning information, and labels. The memory also stores device customization data sets, each corresponding to document processing in the multifunction peripheral. Indicia on the display identify each of the customization groups by business type, and the user input receives a selection of a selected customization group. A customizations menu on the display lists available customizations from the selected customization group. A document processing options menu on the display includes document processing options corresponding to a portion of the device customization data sets associated with the selected customization group.

Provided is an electronic device that increases operability when writing information (for example, unique user information) that allows writing to a wireless tag from the outside. The electronic device of the present disclosure includes a storage device that stores first registered information; a wireless tag that stores second registered information; and a system-control unit that updates contents of the second registered information based on the first registered information; wherein the system-control unit updates contents of information other than information that allows writing when there is writing to the wireless tag from the outside.

According to an embodiment, an image processing apparatus includes: a job executor which executes a job according to a mode; a storage which stores, as history information, a setting history of the job; a display which allows a reception image, which receives an instruction to call the history information that has been stored, to be displayed; and a controller which performs, during execution of the job, display control of the reception image according to the mode.

An image forming apparatus includes a storage unit, an input unit, and an execution unit. The storage unit stores, for each application group, information indicating a range of values that can be set as parameters for executing a function. The input unit receives an input instructing execution of an application. An image processing apparatus, including a display, a memory, and a controller, to provide a plurality of functions is provided. The controller controls the display to display one of a first screen, through which one of the plurality of functions is selectable; a second screen, through which one of a plurality of options for the selected function is selectable; and a third screen, through which selection of the one of the plurality of options is indicated. When the controller reads shortcut information that indicates a first option for a selected one of the functions, and when the first option is permitted to the user, the third screen is displayed. When the first option is not permitted to the user, and if there is a second option permitted to the user, the second screen is displayed.

According to aspects of the present disclosure, in a memory of an MFP, information indicating that an additional function, which is inactivated when shipped from a factory, is activated or inactivated is stored. The MFP starts a trial mode in which trial of the additional function is activated, then the additional function becomes activated within an effective period of the trial mode. The MFP is configured to receive an input of setting information used for the additional function, store the input setting information in the memory and execute a process of the additional function in accordance with the setting information. Further, when the trial mode is terminated, the MFP initializes the setting information in a case where the stored information indicates that the additional function is inactivated, but does not initialize the setting information in a case where the stored information indicates that the additional function is activated.
