The physical quantity unit acquires a physical quantity indicating an operating environment of an image processing apparatus. The generation unit generates an operating environment properness level of the image processing apparatus based on the physical quantity that is acquired by the physical quantity acquisition unit.
Image forming apparatus and condensation reduction method that remove condensation with simple configuration, and recording medium therefor
An image forming apparatus includes an image reading unit, a fixing unit, a time setting unit, and a control unit. The image reading unit moves a running body having an onboard optical system. The fixing unit heats toner transferred onto the print medium and applies pressure on the heated toner with respect to the print medium to fix the toner. The time setting unit sets an estimated time when use of the image forming apparatus starts. The control unit controls the image reading unit, the fixing unit, and the time setting unit. The control unit, prior to the set estimated start-of-use time by a predetermined period set in advance, activates the image reading unit to detect whether condensation has occurred in the optical system, heats the fixing unit in response to a detection of occurrence of condensation, and stops the heating before the estimated start-of-use time.
IMAGE READING DEVICE
An image reading device includes an image reading unit, a conductive member, a switching portion, and a switching control portion. The image reading unit includes a light emitting portion and a light receiving portion. The light emitting portion irradiates light on a document sheet that is conveyed while in contact with an upper surface of a plate-like contact member. The light receiving portion outputs image data corresponding to light reflected from the document sheet. The conductive member is provided on a lower surface of the contact member. The switching portion is switched between an on-state and an off-state so as to select between a state where the conductive member is grounded or a state where the conductive member is not grounded. The switching control portion controls switching of the switching portion.
IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM
An image forming system includes an image forming apparatus that forms an image on a sheet, and a finisher that performs a post-printing process with the sheet. The image forming system comprises: a paper path through which the sheet is passed; an electricity eliminator that is arranged in the upstream side of the finisher to apply at least one agent of water and charge to the sheet; and a hardware processor that controls an application amount of the agent to be applied to the sheet by the electricity eliminator based on an amount of charge which is generated on the sheet when the sheet is passing through the paper path.
Image forming apparatus having a condensation member provided in an airflow path to collect and condense vapor in airflow
An image forming apparatus 100 includes a photosensitive drum 21 on which an electrostatic latent image is formed by being scanned with a light beam emitted from a light source 29 through a transparent member 26, a developing roller 23 that develops the electrostatic latent image formed on the photosensitive drum 21 to form an image on the photosensitive drum 21, a transfer roller 24 that transfers the image developed and formed by the developing roller 23 to a sheet S, a fixing portion 30 that heat-fixes the image transferred on the sheet S by the transfer roller 24 to the sheet S, and a condensation member 28 provided in an airflow path A from the fixing portion 30 to the transparent member 26, and condenses and collects vapor in the airflow.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING THE SAME
An image forming apparatus includes an image forming unit, one or more processors, and memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the image forming apparatus to perform operations. The image forming unit forms an image on a sheet. The operations include controlling execution of dew condensation elimination processing that is processing for eliminating dew condensation having occurred in the image forming unit. The operations additionally include receiving image data to be printed and restricting, based on a type of a job executed using the received image data, image forming by the image forming unit, in a case where the dew condensation elimination processing is in execution.
