An imaging unit includes an image pickup element extending along a surface parallel to an imaging surface, a circuit board including a circuit to drive the image pickup element, and a plurality of fixing members to fix the image pickup element and the circuit board. The circuit board includes at least one through hole on a straight line that extends in a longitudinal direction of the image pickup element and is provided with the plurality of the fixing members. The through hole is provided at a position between at least two of the plurality of the fixing members on the straight line.
READING DEVICE AND RECORDING DEVICE
A reading device includes a platen having a first face, reading means for reading the document via the platen accommodated in a frame portion, a holder that holds image sensor such that the frame portion is in contact with a second face of the platen, and a guide member that extends in a scanning direction of the image sensor, and to which the holder is movably attached. The holder has, on an upstream side in the scanning direction with respect to the image sensor, a contact portion that contacts the frame portion. The contact portion contacts the frame portion so as to be capable of displacing a position of contact with the frame portion in a direction intersecting the second face. The image sensor reads the document while moving under force that the frame portion receives from the contact portion.
Image reading device and image forming apparatus including same
An image reading device according to the present disclosure includes a support plate, a CCD sensor, an insulating member, a CCD mounting board and an elastic member. The CCD sensor is arranged on one surface of the support plate. The insulating member is arranged on the other surface of the support plate. The elastic member fixes the CCD mounting board to the support plate. The elastic member includes: a main body portion; a first arm and a second arm which are bent with respect to the main body portion and which have a first engagement portion and a second engagement portion that are engaged with the edges of the support plate; and a protrusion portion which is provided in the main body portion and which presses the CCD mounting board toward the support plate. The tip end portion of the first arm is bent at an acute angle.
Image scanner having a reader and image forming apparatus incorporating same
An image scanner includes a stationary original plate on which a stationary original is placed and a moving original plate, over which a moving original is conveyed, aligned with the stationary original plate in a sub-scanning direction and tilted relative to the stationary original plate by a given angle. A reader is movable in the sub-scanning direction between a stationary original reading span disposed opposite the stationary original via the stationary original plate to read an image on the stationary original and a moving original reading position disposed opposite the moving original via the moving original plate to read an image on the moving original. The reader pressingly contacts the stationary original plate and the moving original plate as the reader moves in the sub-scanning direction.
Optical scanning device, image forming apparatus including optical scanning device, and position adjustment method of synchronization detection sensor mounted in optical scanning device
An optical scanning device includes a light source that emits light, a deflector that deflects and scans the light emitted from the light source in a main scanning direction, a housing, a synchronization detection sensor, and a sensor board. The synchronization detection sensor is mounted in the housing, detects scanning light from the deflector, and outputs a write timing reference signal of image data. The sensor board is mounted with the synchronization detection sensor. The aforementioned sensor board is formed with a light transmitting hole for allowing a part of the scanning light to pass therethrough when an incident position of the scanning light for a light receiving surface coincides with a center position of the aforementioned light receiving surface in a sub-scanning direction on an extension line of a center line of the light receiving surface of the aforementioned synchronization detection sensor in the sub-scanning direction.
Apparatus for imaging a page of a book or other similar document
The present invention relates to an apparatus for imaging a page of a book or other similar document comprising: a table defining a support plane, the book being disposed on the table such that the page to image is substantially parallel to the support plane and an other page of the book is orientated at an angle relative to the support plane, being between 0 and 70; means for displacing the table parallel to the support plane along a longitudinal direction and a lateral direction and/or perpendicular to the support plane along a normal direction; a plurality of light sources, each light source producing an incident light and directing said incident light onto an inspection area of the page to image at a predetermined zenith angle .sub.i and at a predetermined azimuth angle .sub.i; means for sensing the light reflected by the page to image; at least one control unit adapted to control said displacing means, said light sources and said sensing means; wherein the light sources are fixedly connected to a main frame, said main frame defining a partially or fully hemispherical dome; wherein said main frame comprises a first module and a second module, said second module being detachably connected to the first module at a first end thereof, said first end defining a plane that is obliquely orientated at an angle relative to the support plane; and wherein, when the second module is disconnected from the first module, a free space between the first end of the first module and the support plane is adapted to permit the movement of the table and the book in the longitudinal and lateral directions without coming into contact with the main frame.
Original reading apparatus for reading image of an original
A light guide includes a plurality of boss portions. A round hole portion is provided near the center of a base member for fixing the light guide, and slit portions are provided on both ends thereof. The round hole portion supports one boss portion in both the longitudinal direction and the lateral direction of the light guide. The slit portions support boss portions in the lateral direction of the light guide, but are free in the longitudinal direction of the light guide. That is, the center of the light guide is fixed from both directions, and thus both ends of the light guides can expand away in the longitudinal direction. This cuts the influence of expansion by half.
