A storage control apparatus capable of suppressing reduction of the service life of a storage device, caused due to increase of the number of times of ON/OFF operation of a spindle motor, while suppressing occurrence of accidental failure of the spindle motor. The storage control apparatus is equipped with an HDD including a magnetic disk and the spindle motor for rotating the magnetic disk. A value indicating a use state of the storage control apparatus is acquired, and the operation mode of the HDD is set, based on the acquired value, to one of a suppression operation mode for suppressing the total rotation time of the spindle motor and a normal operation mode for suppressing the number of times of ON/OFF operation of the spindle motor.

An image forming apparatus includes a first storage unit having a semiconductor memory, a second storage unit, an acquisition unit that acquires temperature information indicating a temperature in the first storage unit, a comparison unit that compares the temperature information acquired by the acquisition unit with a threshold, and a control unit. Based on the temperature information indicating a temperature below the threshold, the control unit causes the first storage unit to store data. Based on the temperature information indicating a temperature at or above the threshold, the control unit causes the second storage unit to store data without causing the first storage unit to store the data.

The image processor includes an I/O unit to read input image data from external memory for processing by the image processor and to write output image data from the image processor into the external memory. The I/O unit includes multiple logical channel units. Each logical channel unit is to form a logical channel between the external memory and a respective producing or consuming component within the image processor. Each logical channel unit is designed to utilize reformatting circuitry and addressing circuitry. The addressing circuitry is to control addressing schemes applied to the external memory and reformatting of image data between external memory and the respective producing or consuming component. The reformatting circuitry is to perform the reformatting.

The image forming apparatus includes a connecting part, an operation acquiring part, and a log acquiring part. The connecting part connects with the support terminal in a session of a specific protocol. The operation acquiring part acquires operational information corresponding to operation of the support terminal connected by the connecting part. The log acquiring part acquires log information, which is acquired in the support terminal, with the same session as the operational information acquired by the operation acquiring part.

An output product producing method includes acquiring output information, specifying an output condition for an output section, converting the output information into a code having an error-correction amount corresponding to the output condition, and causing the output section to output an output product including the code under the output condition.

An image processing apparatus includes a line memory, a block outputting unit, a data writing unit, a data reading unit, and a controller. To the line memory, a memory area is allocated, and the memory area has a width of a constant number of words in a static RAM (Random Access Memory). The block outputting unit is configured to output image data of an image block obtained by dividing a document image. A remote maintenance system capable of reducing user's time and effort required to establish communication between an image processing apparatus and an operator terminal. An operator terminal performs remote maintenance communication with an image processing apparatus via a relay server, for performing a maintenance operation of the image processing apparatus. A connection request for connecting to an operator terminal is received from an image processing apparatus, and the remote maintenance communication between the image processing apparatus and the operator terminal is established based on the connection request. When the connection request is received, an operator terminal that has not established the remote maintenance communication is assigned to an image processing apparatus that has sent the connection request, and the remote maintenance communication between the image processing apparatus having sent the connection request and the assigned operator terminal is established.

On receiving from the communication apparatus a request for sending the audit log, the image forming apparatus performs control for sending the audit log to the communication apparatus. In the control for sending the audit log, on receiving the request for sending the audit log, the image forming apparatus sends, to the communication apparatus, information indicating a storage location of one or more logs each having a data amount larger than a predetermined amount among the logs included in the audit log, rather than the one or more logs.
