An electronic device includes an application subsystem and a platform subsystem. The application subsystem includes one or more first independent processes that provide a user with different functions of the electronic device, a first process monitoring circuit that detects a handling-required state of the first independent process, and a system state managing circuit that reboots the first independent process in which the handling-required state has occurred. The first process monitoring circuit that has detected the handling-required state transmits an error notification to the system state managing circuit. The system state managing circuit that has received the error notification reboots the first independent process in the handling-required state.

An information processing device may accept an input of a first print instruction. The information processing device may send first print data to a printer in response to accepting the input of the first print instruction. The information processing device may store second print data in the memory in a print stand-by state. The information processing device may receive a push notification from the push notification server. The push notification may include first information that is related to first print processing using the first print data and outputted from the printer. The information processing device may send the second print data to the printer in response to receiving the first information.

An image forming apparatus includes a wireless tag communication device to write data to, and read data from, a wireless tag attached to a sheet. An image forming device in the apparatus is configured to form an image on the sheet. A controller in the apparatus is configured to determine whether a writing of data to a wireless tag was successful based on a notification from the wireless tag communication device and generate investigation support information if the writing was not successful and control the image forming device to form an investigation support image corresponding to the investigation support information if the writing was not successful.

An information processing system includes a first device and a second device coupled to the first device. The information processing system further includes a connection unit configured to establish a connection between the first device and the second device; a monitoring unit configured to cause the first device and the second device to perform live monitoring of each other, when the connection is established between the first device and the second device by the connection unit; a detection unit configured to detect an occurrence of an error in the first device or the second device by using the monitoring unit; and a saving unit configured to save log information including a log of the error, after the first device and the second device are restarted, when the occurrence of the error is detected by the detection unit.
