Orthotic Shoulder Support
20220031490 · 2022-02-03 · ·

An orthotic support comprises a shoulder section for encapsulating a first shoulder of a wearer, a glove section for conforming to at least a portion of the wearer's hand, and a sleeve section for conforming to the wearer's arm, the sleeve section connecting the shoulder section to the glove section. A resilient reinforcement extends from the glove section to the shoulder section, and at least a portion of the reinforcement extends in a spiral around the sleeve section, so that the reinforcement is configured to apply a rotational force to the wearer's arm, when worn, to urge a portion of the wearer's arm to rotate in a predetermined direction. The orthotic support may be usable to treat or prevent shoulder dislocation or subluxation, arm over-pronation or over-supination, wrist flexion or elbow flexion. An orthotic support may comprise a reinforcement with a first branch extending over an anterior portion of the sleeve section, and a second branch extending over a posterior portion of the sleeve section, so that the reinforcement is configured to urge the wearer's upper arm towards a rest position.

WEARABLE DURING-WALKING ARM EXERCISE DEVICE
20220305333 · 2022-09-29 ·

The present invention relates to a device for enabling a natural arm exercise during everyday walking. More specifically, the present invention relates to a wearable during-walking arm exercise device comprising: webbing belts extending from the user's front chest part and through the shoulder parts, and crossing each other in an X-shape on the user's back, thereby holding the entire device; one elastic string or multiple elastic strings coupled to the front and rear of the webbing belts, the elastic strings having elasticity such that, according to relaxation and contraction movements following forward/backward movements of arms, backside muscles of upper arms undergo exercise; and a handle fastened to the elastic strings so as to tension the elastic strings. Additionally, the wearable during-walking arm exercise device comprises a waist string having elasticity, the waist string being connected to the lower portion of the handle for muscle movements of front portions of the upper arms (biceps contracts). The elastic strings and the waist string are connected on the upper and lower sides of the handle such that, not only when arms are moved backwards (extension) as a result of walking, but also when the arms are moved forwards (flexion), both front and rear muscles of the upper arms (biceps brachii and triceps brachii) are tensioned and are thus exercised, thereby maximizing the merits of exercise.

Free-motion dynamic resistance trainer for sports and rehabilitation movement training
09731162 · 2017-08-15 ·

A free-motion dynamic resistance trainer to be used to train the muscular coordination, dynamic stability and gait mechanics of athletes and physical therapy patients. Adjustable tension shock cords or bungee cords and resistance tubing are used in conjunction with a spinal support harness and jib in order to allow for the adjustment of progressive resistance and to create a heightened sense of proprioceptive awareness in those muscles and joints that are meant to be targeted depending upon the particular movement pattern being exercised. While providing resistance to improve strength and stamina, the shock cords or bungee cords and resistance tubing simultaneously guide and assist the trainee through certain aspects of each movement in order to train muscle memory of the proper kinetic sequence and body positioning. The apparatus, which is meant to be worn, can be used during sport specific movements other than running, in order to train and improve performance in myriad sports and activities.

RUCKING SYSTEM

An embodiment of the present disclosure of a rucking system that includes a stackable plate assembly having a first plate and a second plate.

EXERCISE DEVICE FOR USE IN MICROGRAVITY ENVIRONMENTS
20220267028 · 2022-08-25 ·

A device including a first member for supporting a user; and a second member 14, attached to the first member, including a counterbalance portion. The first member and the second member are each moveable, and operable to slide with respect to each other in opposite directions, between a first position and a second position. The device can be operable such that between the first and second positions, the combined center of mass of the device 10 and its user remains substantially fixed. This serves to reduce the extent of forces and vibrations generated by use of the device on the object to which the device is located.

Training sled apparatus and methods of use

A training sled apparatus, comprising: a platform with a rear edge and a wedge shaped front edge, opposite the rear edge of the platform; and, at least one sleeve provided to the platform and configured for placing a training component therein.

A GARMENT
20170252601 · 2017-09-07 ·

A garment for increasing resistance to a wearer's body, the garment having a first portion with a fabric of a first resistance characteristic operable to stretch to conform with movement of the wearer's body and at least one second portion of a fabric having a second resistance characteristic, where the second portion conforms to an associated specific body area of the wearer's body such as a muscle or muscle group. Motion of the wearer's body causes the at least one second portion to either apply greater or lesser resistance to the associated specific body area of the wearer's body than the at least first portion applies to the wearer's body to enable targeting of resistance to specific body areas of muscle.

LUMBAR PROTECTION EXOMUSCLE
20210401610 · 2021-12-30 ·

A lumbar protection exomuscle is provided that includes of a harness that connects the rear part of the human body, from the shoulders to the feet, held in place, in addition, at the hip and knees, being such points connected successively to each other and in a vertical manner. In a standing position, the device maintains the tension without exerting force, but at the moment of flexion of the hip, the rear area of the thigh and glutes is stretched due to it being to the only elastic zone, thus accumulating a directional force that counteracts the torsions generated in the lumbar area, either at the moment of flexing, in a flexed static position or at the moment of extension.

Resistance Band Exercise Machine

One embodiment of a resistance band exercise machine (100) for various exercises having a cable-pulley variable resistance system housing (102) with a cable-pulley variable resistance system (104). The cable-pulley variable resistance system has a pair of uprights (110) to insert a pair of safety bars (112) or a joined safety bar (118) into a safety bar hole (114) from the uprights to set starting position of an exercise by placing a top plate (106) from the cable-pulley variable resistance system on the safety bars and increase exercise intensity by performing isometrics against the safety bars and a training partner assistantship cable-pulley system (128) or a training partner assistantship feature from the cable-pulley variable resistance system having an input lifting arm (122) with a handle grip (124) and/or a shoulder padding (126) for a training partner (136) to assist the user. The configuration of the cable-pulley variable resistance system may be in any manner based on the exercise. A user (162) performs an exercise on the resistance band exercise machine to overcome a primary (resistance band 116) and secondary (springs 168) sources of variably increasing resistance from the cable-pulley variable resistance system.
