Print data processing system, information processing device and to a printing device for storing print data to a shared memory
A print data processing system 101 has a plurality of print data distribution devices, and an information processing device that receives print data from the plural print data distribution devices. The information processing device initiates a reception process unit appropriately to the plural print data distribution devices. Each reception process unit queries the related print data distribution device for print data, receives the print data when print data is on the print data distribution device, and stores the received print data to a shared storage area.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING THE SAME
An image forming apparatus stores raster image data corresponding to a background in a compressed format and generates intermediate data corresponding to a foreground of the background based on obtained print data. A decompressor decompresses the raster image data stored in the memory device and a rasterizer generates new raster image data based on the raster data corresponding to the background obtained by the decompression and the generated intermediate data corresponding to the foreground. When a request is made to stop the generation of the new raster image data in a state of waiting for at least a portion of the raster image data corresponding to the background to be decompressed, the rasterizer stops generation of the new raster image data, and the decompressor continues decompressing the at least a portion of the raster image data corresponding to the background.

Systems and Methods for Secure, Message-Based Delivery of Mobile Application Requests
The disclosed invention comprises Systems and Methods for delivery of mobile applications' requests for services to network devices or apparatus in a secure environment. The invention features web-based configuration services allowing for the definition of delivery systems' components, including mobile devices, delivery channels, machine handlers, endpoints and pre-authentications. Machine handlers are pre-authenticated to access endpoints. Mobile applications encode their requests and send these encoded requests in message bodies to a message server. Delivery handlers send these messages to machine handlers for specified endpoints based on configuration. Machine handlers decode and submit the requests to endpoints, e.g. a printer. The invention therefore allows a user to send a mobile application request to a secured network device, such as an endpoint printer, with no intervening actions such as unwanted security requests.

IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes: a hardware processor that: generates image data for composition; and divides the image data for composition into bands; an output memory; a storage that determines whether image data of each band coincides with image data of another band, secures a unique region, transfers the image data of the band to the unique region and associates the band with the unique region, secures common regions, transfers the image data of one of the bands to the common region and associates any one of the common regions to each of the bands; a reader that reads the image data from the region associated with each band and outputs the image data for composition; a composer that composes the image data for composition with the image data to be printed; and an image former that forms an image based on the composed image data.
Recognition of images within a video based on a stored representation
One embodiment described herein may take the form of a system or method for detecting an image within a video component of a multimedia presentation on a distribution system. In general, the system or method may analyze one or more frames of a video component of a presentation to detect the presence of an image within the one or more frames that matches or approximates one or more images stored in a searchable database. Once detected, the system or method may compare one or more features of the potentially matching image with the collection of images. If the potential image matches or approximates an image within the searchable database, the system or method may provide a selectable link within the multimedia presentation that links the detected image with associated information concerning the image. Such information may be presented on a display device to the viewer of the presentation.
Networked low-bandwidth terminals for transmission of imagery
A system includes nodes deployable across an area and self-forming a mobile ad-hoc network. The nodes include (1) imaging circuitry for capturing an image of a local sub-area based on a triggering event, (2) image-transfer circuitry for partitioning a captured image into sub-images or image segments and transmitting them to other nodes, (3) image-transmission circuitry for transmitting a sub-image from another node on an uplink to a relay such as a satellite. The relay (1) receives transmissions of respective sub-images, in parallel on independent channels, from the nodes via respective uplinks, and (2) retransmits the sub-images to the remote location via a downlink. A central control station at the remote location (1) receives the sub-images from the relay via the downlink, (2) re-creates the captured image by combining the received sub-images, and (3) utilizes the re-created image in a monitoring or control operation of the central control station.
IMAGE PROCESSING METHOD THAT OBTAINS SPECIAL DATA FROM AN EXTERNAL APPARATUS BASED ON INFORMATION MULTIPLEXED IN IMAGE DATA AND APPARATUS THEREFOR
An image processing method is provided for acquiring additional information from image information obtained by shooting a printed product on which the additional information is multiplexed by at least one of a plurality of different multiplexing methods, the method comprising: attempting decoding of the additional information from the image information by a plurality of different decoding methods corresponding to the plurality of different multiplexing methods; and outputting, by a unit, the additional information successfully decoded.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes an image processor, a converter, a light source driver, an identifying unit, and a pattern generator. The image processor generates image data of first resolution and generates tag information indicating whether to perform image processing and associated with pixels of the image data of first resolution. The converter converts the image data of first resolution to image data of a higher second resolution. The light source driver drives a light source using a modulation signal corresponding to the image data of second resolution. The identifying unit identifies a target pixel to be subjected to image processing in the image data of first resolution based on the tag information. The pattern generator generates an image-processed pixel pattern of the second resolution according to the target pixel. The converter converts the target pixel in the image data of first resolution to the generated image-processed pixel pattern.
