A method for printing documents with security elements carried out by two separate, computer-supported systems. The computer-supported systems each have a printing system with a printing machine and a security system that perform steps of preparing a document with placeholders for the security elements in the image data by the computer of the security system, and transmitting the document to the printing system. The image data is converted into an output color space of the printing machine by the computer of the printing system, and the document is transmitted to the security system. The security elements are generated, and replacement of the placeholders with the security elements by the computer of the security system is performed. The document is transmitted to the printing system. The finished document is printed with the security elements by the printing machine of the printing system.

The disclosed enhanced document creation and parsing systems deal with enhanced documents that allow for the presentation of document content in a preferred visual manner, while ensuring that the document content can be captured accurately by an automated parser with nothing being discarded or misrepresented. The enhanced document creation system may create an enhanced document by encoding document content in accordance with a defined schema, optionally encrypting the resulting structured data into an encrypted byte string, and embedding the encrypted byte string as non-visible metadata in a rendered document. The resulting enhanced document can be completely and accurately parsed by an enhanced document parsing system that is capable of extracting, decrypting and decoding the embedded document metadata.

An image forming apparatus and a method of operating an electronic apparatus are provided. The method includes activating a personal information protection policy corresponding to a country of use set in the image forming apparatus, receiving an execution request of a first application installed in the image forming apparatus, determining whether a first job to be performed by execution of the first application is restricted to the personal information protection policy, and controlling an operation of the image forming apparatus according to whether the first job is restricted to the personal information protection policy.

Restricting the printing of sensitive electronic documents. After the client downloads a document (e.g., by viewing the document in a web browser), the client intercepts a print command, pauses the print, and issues a print request to a server. From a server perspective, upon receiving the request, the server determines whether the document is print restricted. If not, the print operation is permitted to proceed. If so, the server responds negatively to the print request and alters the document so that, even if printed, sensitive information is not printed. In another embodiment, the server may restrict printing prior to downloading a document. For example, the server may make the document read-only, or replace the document with another printable document that does not contain sensitive content.

There is provided a printer including: a storage that stores transmission discrimination format information and information specification format information; a printing executor that performs printing based on print data received from a POS terminal; and a controller that transmits print text data, in which information adapted to information specification format indicated by information specification format information among information included in the print text data is converted or deleted, to a control server when a format of the print text data based on the print data received from the POS terminal is adapted to a transmission discrimination format indicated by the transmission discrimination format information.

A method for rendering a correlation mark on a recording medium can involve encoding a pattern based on a correlation effect color based on a color recipe that includes a high density of one primary color and a mid-to-low density of at least one other primary color, and adjusting the pattern to ensure that the encoding is lost in a resulting rendering of a correlation mark embedded with the pattern. The pattern imposed on the correlation mark is not readily visible in an original without a decoding key. The correlation mark can include a frequency that is sufficiently high so that a copy of the correlation mark may not reproduce with the pattern.

An electronic device and a method for processing an image by the electronic device according to various embodiments of the present invention are provided. The method may comprise: generating password information for a first image using security information of a user; changing the first image to a second image using the generated password information; and transmitting the second image and the password information in response to a transmission request of the first image. Various other embodiments may be available.

A method comprising: analysing an image to determine an image scene category; and generating an anonymized image based on a determined image scene category by applying a morphing model to the image as a whole, such that the anonymised image is between the image and a generic image associated with the identified scene category.

A system of devices receives and stores documents based on confidential information redacted from the documents. An electronic document is analyzed to identify character blocks having confidential information. The confidential information can be in different formats within the document. Redaction rules are applied to the character blocks to identify confidential categories for the confidential information within the blocks. The confidential information is redacted based on the rules such that the confidential information is removed from the document. A new electronic document is generated with the information redacted such that it is not viewable or printable. The two documents with different levels of confidential information is then stored on separate devices within the system. The documents may be made available within the system according to authentication codes for the documents.
