Methods, apparatuses, and computer-readable storage media for image-based sensitive-text detection

The present disclosure describes a method, an apparatus, and a non-transitory computer-readable medium for detecting sensitive text information such as privacy-related text information from a signal and modifying the signal by removing the detected sensitive text information therefrom. The apparatus receives the signal such as an image, a video clip, or an audio clip, and recognizes a text string therefrom. The apparatus then detects, from the text string, a substring based on a similarity between the substring and a regular expression, and modifies the signal by removing information related to the detected substring from the signal.

Secure distribution of an image

A method for the display of an image in a display area, the method comprising: requesting, from a server, a scrambled image file using an image identifier, the scrambled image file containing the image in a scrambled form; receiving the scrambled image file; dividing the scrambled image file into a plurality of image fragments, the image fragments having a first order within the scrambled image file; and rendering the image fragments on to the display area in a second order derived from the image identifier to display the image in unscrambled form.

A UAV comprises a camera and an image processor. The camera is operable to output captured image data corresponding to a first representation of a scene within a field of view of the camera. The scene includes an item. The image processor is configured to receive the captured image data. The image processor is configured, in response to recognising a predetermined object indicative of the presence of the item in the first representation, to generate image data corresponding to a second, different representation of the scene. A part of the scene that is associated with the item in the first representation is represented differently in the first and second representations. The image processor is configured to output the generated image data.

Health Monitoring System Including Privacy-Ensuring Obfuscated Camera Images

The unobtrusive health-monitoring apparatus includes a camera, a controller, a data transmission port, and, optionally, a graphics processing unit (GPU) which executes nonlinear transformation algorithms. The camera may be inconspicuously disposed within a fixture in the room. The camera collects graphic data which may include still images or video of the user, or both. The GPU may execute the nonlinear transformation algorithms which may transform the graphic data into formats which cannot be recognized by humans. However, these formats preserve features that can be parsed by machine learning methods and used for health tracking purposes. The formats cannot be parsed by humans or be converted back to the original image or video by mathematical inversion or available computational methods. User privacy is thus preserved. The graphic data may be transmitted to a remote processor. The remote processor may perform algorithms which create a health status analyses.

OBSCURED MEDIA COMMUNICATION

Portable computing devices, software operating on and stored in such devices, and methods are described herein that decrypt media in response to one or more input actions. The input actions can be measured or sensed by one or more components of the device. In some versions, a sender can cause a media file to be obscured and provide the one or more actions required to restore the obscured media file. The media file can be shared between client devices of a sender and receiver through messaging application software operating on the client devices.

Method, device and system for a degree of blurring to be applied to image data in a privacy area of an image

Methods and devices for protecting personal privacy in captured image data by controlling privacy masking of an image, where the degree of blurring to be applied to a privacy area of the image depends on a threshold distance from the image capturing device, and the spatial resolution of content of the scene at this distance in the image.

METHODS AND SYSTEM OF DEVICES FOR MANAGING CONFIDENTIAL DOCUMENTS USING EXPIRATION PARAMETERS
20200267280 · 2020-08-20 · ·

A system of devices receives and stores documents based on confidential information redacted from the documents. An electronic document is analyzed to identify character blocks having confidential information. The confidential information can be in different formats within the document. Redaction rules are applied to the character blocks to identify confidential categories for the confidential information within the blocks. The confidential information is redacted based on the rules such that the confidential information is removed from the document. A new electronic document is generated with the information redacted such that it is not viewable or printable. The two documents with different levels of confidential information is then stored on separate devices within the system.

An image processing apparatus, comprising: an obtainment unit configured to obtain an image captured by an image capturing apparatus; a recognition unit configured to recognize a person from the image obtained by the obtainment unit; a setting unit configured to set a time limit for the person to be recognized by the recognition unit; and a processing unit configured to execute processing for privacy protection on an image including the person for which the time limit set by the setting unit has been exceeded.

Image forming apparatus that displays job list

While jobs with confidentiality are in principle kept from showing on a job list, display of the jobs with confidentiality is enabled with a simple operation. In an image forming apparatus, a display control section allows a display section to display a job list showing a plurality of executed jobs, wherein among the jobs, one job containing a predetermined word or character string representing confidentiality is excluded from the job list. When a predetermined keyword is input through a touch panel, the display control section allows the display section to display a confidential job containing the keyword.
