Visible multiple codes system, method and apparatus
This invention refers to a data encoding system, a software basis, a data recording medium, a data read/write system, and methods and apparatus to make them thereof, all of which are based on a Multiple Codes System of more than two colors dots. The Multiple Codes system of more than two colors dots comprises more than two distinct colors as multiple codes for directly representing bits of bytes of data encoded by the system. The visible multiple colors may comprise bytes of data written in a software language for being read by an operating system or a program. The system also includes a bit/byte system with a format and rules of using a group of specific number of bits per byte including 8 bit/byte, 16 bit/byte, 32 bit/byte, 64 bit/byte, 128 bit/byte . . . or other higher numbers of bit/byte.
Image processing system, image processing apparatus, and image forming apparatus
An image processing system for generating a processed image depending on an input image is provided. The system includes an image processing portion configured to add, to the processed image, an AR marker which is an image for identifying missing information missing from information of the input image; an AR content generating portion configured to generate an AR content corresponding to the missing information; an AR marker recognizing portion configured to recognize the AR marker contained in a photographed image obtained by photographing the processed image; and an AR display processing portion configured to display the AR content stored in association with the recognized AR marker in a manner to be superimposed on the processed image.
Adaptive linear luma domain video pipeline architecture
Techniques related to generating downscaled image or image frame data in a luma chroma separated color space for an image or video pipeline architecture are discussed. Such techniques may include converting input image data to the luma chroma separated color space based on adaptive color coefficients determined based on an illumination indicator associated with the input image data and storing downscaled color converted image data to an input image buffer of the image or video pipeline.
METHOD OF AND APPARATUS FOR ANALYSIS OF A SAMPLE OF BIOLOGICAL TISSUE CELLS
At least first and second digital images of the sample are acquired having different focal heights relative to a platform on which the cells are disposed. A contrast matrix is produced having elements computed in dependence upon the difference between the values of the corresponding pixels in the first and second images. A phase matrix is produced by convolution of the contrast matrix with a predetermined distance matrix. The phase matrix is used to assess characteristics of the sample, such as the presence of cells in the sample or the heights of cells in the sample.

Information processing apparatus that determines whether to set a color mode based on processing corresponding to a monochrome mode, method, storage medium storing program, and system
An information processing apparatus sets a color mode in place of a monochrome mode on condition that the monochrome mode and multiplexing of additional information on a print target image are set as print settings based on an input image data; generates, based on the input image data, color image data corresponding to printing in a color mode which represents a color of the monochromated print target image by a value of a color signal; performs, for the color image data generated by the generation unit, processing for multiplexing the additional information on the print target image; and causes a printing apparatus to print, in the color mode, a multiplexed image on which the additional information is multiplexed.
System and method for rendering gloss effect image patterns on a recording medium
Gloss effect image patterns are created by creating a solid color background and overprinting the solid color background with the glossmark. In creating the glossmark, a background base of an electronic image region is painted with a solid color corresponding to a color of a marking material; using a first electronic pattern ink, a background of the electronic image region is painted without knocking out the solid color of the background base of the electronic image region; and using a second electronic pattern ink, a foreground in the electronic image region is painted without knocking out the solid color of the background base of the electronic image region such that a pattern in the rendered image area is only visible when a predetermined angle between an observer's viewing angle and an angle of illuminating the rendered recording medium by an illumination source is realized.
VISIBLE MULTIPLE CODES SYSTEM
A color discriminating apparatus reads a plurality of colored dots placed on computer readable media. The plurality of colored dots represents encoded data that has a plurality of non-binary digits where each non-binary digit has at least three possible digit values. Each non-binary digit is represented by a single colored dot from the plurality of colored dots, and each possible digit value is represented by a different color so that a color of each colored dot indicates a digital value represented by the colored dot. The color discriminating apparatus detects a color of each colored dot in the plurality of colored dots. A module correlates the color of each colored dot in the plurality of colored dots detected by the color discriminating apparatus to recover an original digital value represented by each colored dot in the plurality of colored dots and to recover the encoded data that is represented by the plurality of non-binary digits.

Color conversion method and profile generation method
A tincture adjustment value used to adjust a monochrome signal to a tincture desired by a user is set, and a tincture conversion table and chromaticity line table are generated based on that tincture adjustment value and the profile of an image output apparatus. Using the generated tables, a lightness signal L* corresponding to an input monochrome signal is converted into a distance signal l on a chromaticity line, and the distance signal l is converted into a chromaticity signal (a*, b*). The lightness signal L* and chromaticity signal (a*, b*) are converted into a color signal of the image output apparatus.
