WEARABLE DEVICE AND OPERATION METHOD THEREOF
A wearable device may include a motor, a motor driver circuit, a frame connected to the motor, the frame to be worn on the body of the user to support the body, a processor configured to generate a control signal to control an electrical connection in the motor driver circuit, and a sensor configured to sense a body motion of the user. The processor is further configured to provide an exercise load through the frame according to a speed of the sensed body motion by controlling, based on the speed of the body motion, a changing ratio per time between a first control state in which the electrical connection in the motor driver circuit is a closed loop and a second control state in which the electrical connection in the motor driver circuit is an open loop.
METHODS OF OPERATING AN EXOSKELETON FOR GAIT ASSISTANCE AND REHABILITATION
A method of operating an exoskeleton device includes: receiving sensor information; connecting a clutch system to a pulley system in; determining whether to engage a drive train gear to the clutch system based on the sensor information; engaging the drive train gear through the clutch system when determined to engage the drive train gear; and powering a first motor to drive the drive train gear for controlling a joint or segment of exoskeleton device.
POWER SHORTS FOR FITNESS AND REHABILITATION
A unitary exercise device that provides exercise of the core muscles and legs of a user over a full range of motion in performing various physical activities by providing simultaneous counter-balancing tension to the core muscles and legs of the user as he is engaged in performance of the selected physical activity. The exercise device comprises a waist loop, left and right thigh loops, left and right rear and front straps, all of which are elastic materials heat-fused or sewn together to provide an exercise device specifically designed for a specific user. When worn by a user, the elastic rear and front straps of the exercise device provide counter-balancing tension to various muscle groups and legs of the user, dependent on the physical activity being performed, which over time with repetitive use and practice will provide improved performance or rehabilitation to the user when performing subsequently without the exercise device.
RESISTANCE DEVICE
A resistance device for providing resistance. The device includes a flexible pulling element, a resilient arrangement and a transmission. The resilient arrangement has a first portion and a second portion. The second portion is resiliently movable relative to the first portion. The transmission connects the flexible pulling element to the resilient arrangement such that pulling upon the flexible pulling element moves the second portion relative to the first portion, and upon release of the flexible pulling element the resilient arrangement retracts the flexible pulling element. The transmission is a reduction arrangement such that pulling the flexible pulling element a distance moves the second portion, relative to the first portion, no more than a proportion of the distance. The proportion is no more than half.
Housing equipment presentation apparatus, system, method and program
Appropriate housing equipment according to the physical ability of a trainee who has performed rehabilitation in order to restore or maintain the physical ability is easily presented. A housing equipment presentation apparatus includes a storage unit configured to store definition information defining housing equipment information according to a physical ability, an acquisition unit configured to externally acquire physical ability information of a trainee who has performed training in order to restore or maintain his/her physical ability, a conversion unit configured to convert the acquired physical ability information into the housing equipment information based on the definition information, and an output unit configured to output presentation information including the converted housing equipment information.
JOINT SPARING WEIGHTED GARMENT
A joint-sparing weighted garment for effective weight loading and distribution of a user that mimics the anatomical distribution of muscle mass while providing support to the major joints through weight-avoidance areas. Additionally, strategic weight-avoidance zones are reinforced to provide compression to the joints in a circumferential manner lessening the stress and strain on major joints, tendons, and ligaments.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF TREATING PROPRIOCEPTIVE DYSFUNCTION AND VESTIBULAR DISORDERS
The systems, methods, apparatuses, and articles disclosed herein provide a new approach to treatment symptoms, such as proprioceptive dysfunction and vestibular disorders, which may be caused by certain types of human ailments. According to the present disclosure, a wearable article may include one or more limb sections and a resilient member may be provided along a length of each of the one or more limb sections and configured to generate a resistance force. Adjustments to the resistance force provided by the resilient member(s) may be adjusted using cord locks. As a user wearing the wearable article moves, the resistance force is applied to the user's limbs. Strain gauges may be provided to measure the resistance force(s), which enables verification that the resilient members are sized and configured to provide an appropriate amount of resistance force to a user and may improve programs and regimens designed to treat such ailments.
DYNAMIC PLANK APPARATUS AND METHOD
Apparatus and method for facilitating a dynamic plank exercise comprises a generally horizontally disposed structure, a plurality of legs supporting, at their upper ends, the structure, rollers disposed on lower ends of the plurality of legs and adapted to rest upon a floor surface, the rollers allowing the legs, and the structure, to be translated relative to the floor surface, and a pair straps vertically suspended from the structure, the straps adapted to support the users' legs, whereby, the users may place their legs in the straps and perform exercises with the users' arms supported by the floor surface, wherein the users are able to translate their legs relative to their arms as the structure is translated on the floor surface. The rollers provide substantially 360 degrees of movement, such that the users can draw their knees forward and backward to perform a back-and-forth motion while their legs are in the straps and their arms are supported by the floor surface, and can rotate their legs relative to their arms to perform a side-to-side motion while their legs are in the straps and their arms are supported by the floor surface.
DEVICES FOR EXERCISE APPARATUSES
A computing system for determining osteogenic loading from an exercise apparatus for performing an exercise is provided. The exercise apparatus includes a loading interface, a frame, a linear adjustment system interposing between and fixedly coupled to the loading interface and the frame, and a sensor coupled to the linear adjustment system. A position of the loading interface of the exercise apparatus is adjusted through a movement of the linear adjustment system at one or more intermediate positions of a plurality of functional positions of the loading interface. A force exerted by a subject on the loading interface at the position in the one or more intermediate positions is received. A measurement of the force exerted by the subject on the loading interface at the position in the one or more intermediate positions from the sensor is obtained. A corresponding osteogenic loading for the force exerted by the subject is determined.
SLIDING DEVICE AND MOTION ASSISTING DEVICE INCLUDING THE SAME
A wearable motion assisting device (e.g., exercise assisting device) may include an auxiliary arm, which is wearable around a femoral region of a user, including a sliding device including a base frame, a slider pad of which at least a portion of is configured to slide in a predetermined direction with respect to the base frame and return to a predetermined position with respect to the base frame via a magnetic force, and a mounting member configured to connect the base frame and the slider pad, an actuator connected to the auxiliary arm and configured to control the auxiliary arm to be driven, a main belt configured to enclose a waist of the user, and a main frame connected to the main belt and provided with the actuator mounted/supported thereon.
