Apparatus for supporting and suspending a body part
Aspects of the present disclosure involve an exercise device including a base member, a pair of tower members, and a strap. The base member includes a substantially planar bottom surface, a top surface opposite the bottom surface, and an opening extending through the top and bottom surfaces. The pair of tower members extends upward from opposite ends of the top surface of the base member. The strap releasably secures to each of the pair of tower members at a chosen height and with a chosen amount of slack. The strap includes a handle positioned between a first end and a second end of the strap, wherein the chosen amount of slack of the strap is adjustable by coupling the strap to each of the pair of tower members at different positions on the strap.
Programmable range of motion system
A programmable range of motion system has a frame, a range of motion device, a controller, a computer and sensors. The frame has a seat to support a rehab patient. The range of motion device is attached to the frame. The actuator, servo or alternate mechanism selectively rotates the range of motion device through a range of motion for a rehab patient's limb. The controller controls the actuator, servo or alternate mechanism. The computer is connected electronically to the controller. The computer has a software, program or application including a plurality of programmable range of motion movements for exercising the limb. The sensor detects movements of the actuator, servo or alternate mechanism and records data back to the computer. The term actuator as used hereafter includes servo or alternate articulating mechanism.
Joint for rehabilitation device
A joint for a rehabilitation device and a rehabilitation device are disclosed. The joint is defined for operation between an end of a first member and an end of a second member. The joint enables the second member to pivot at the joint with respect to the first member. The joint includes a positioning mechanism for defining a set position from which the second member pivots. The joint also includes a restriction mechanism for restricting the degree of pivoting of the second member, from the set position. The joint further includes a biasing mechanism for biasing the second member such that it returns to the set position when an opposing force applied to the second member is less than the bias of the biasing mechanism. When the joint is in the set position, the biasing mechanism is configured such that no bias is applied to the second member.
Cross-country ski exercise machine
A cross country skiing exercise machine is disclosed. The machine has ski members slidingly mounted to a base frame and front and rear arm exercise units mounted towards the front and rear of the base frame, respectively. The front arm exercise unit has a front pair of flexible lines to be gripped by a user's hands to permit the user to reciprocally pull back on said front pair of flexible lines. The rear arm exercise unit has a rear pair of flexible lines having straps configured to be attached to the user's arms to permit the user to reciprocally pull forward on the rear pair of flexible lines. The front and rear arm exercise units are configured to apply a drag force to the front and rear pair of flexible lines, respectively. A rear leg exercise unit having flexible lines for mounting to the user's legs is also provided.
RESISTANCE TRAINING EXERCISE DEVICE
The present disclosure relates to a resistance training exercise device that includes a frame; a holder coupled to the frame, the holder defining a lever channel for receiving a forearm of a user; the holder and the frame configured to rotate with the forearm about an elbow relative to an upper arm when the user is performing a rotary resistance training exercise; and a weight support for receiving one or more weights thereon, the weight support fixed to the frame and spaced apart from the holder in a direction selected to maintain, throughout the resistance exercise, an angle between the upper arm and the weight support that is greater by a constant value than an angle between the upper arm and the lever channel.
EXERCISE ACCESSORIES AND SYSTEM
An exercise accessory may be a component of a leg lift exercise system assembly. The exercise accessory may be useful for a user to hold themselves up by the arms to perform leg lifts, among other exercises. The accessory has an angular adjuster to allow a user to adjust the positioning of his or her forearms during the exercise. The angular adjuster has a cage which can attach to and suspend from an overhead bar, and an apertured base having radial tines. An indexer may be able to rotatably index to and rest within the radial tines. Rotating the indexer when tension is not applied to the system allows the user to adjust angular positioning. From the indexer and through the aperture an arm support is suspended.
Medical Protective and Exercise Restraint Methods
Intended to prevent self-extubation of nasal or oral tubes of an awake patient who may reflexively attempt removal of such and allow the early mobilization and exercise necessary for preservation of as much muscle strength as possible, promotion of diaphragmatic motion necessary for liberation from a ventilator, reduction of patient stress allowing for sedation minimization and improved cognition for reduction of delirium and post-intensive care syndrome, and relief of medical staff and healthcare dollars to focus more on healthcare rather than on protection from self-harm.
Running Training Band
An arm training band includes a strap having an elongate configuration and a pair of opposed loops coupled to opposite ends of the strap. The loops are specifically configured to fit or hook over a thumb of a user who is wearing the arm training band. The strap may be extended around the upper arm of the user proximate the user's elbow and the loops hooked over the user's thumb. Preferably, the user will wear an arm training hand on each arm when training and practicing proper arm positioning when running.
Garment
The invention relates to a garment for sports, health exercise, physiotherapy or another performance, the garment comprising a body part (BP) of the garment and one or more limb parts (L1, L2, H1, H2) of the garment which extend from the body part of the garment. The garment comprises one or more elastic reinforcements (B1, B2, B3) routed in the garment in accordance with one or more fascial lines (FL1, FL2, FL3) of a human body. The elastic reinforcements form a network, being provided both on a front side of the garment and a rear side of the garment.
Support shirt with sleeve reinforcement regions
A support shirt comprising a shirt body and a pair of shirt body sleeves positioned adjacent to an upper shirt body is provided. The sleeves are attached to the shirt body at sleeve body holes, with each of the sleeves including sleeve reinforcement regions extending at least a portion of the distance from the sleeve holes to an outer edge of the sleeves. The sleeve reinforcement regions extend substantially along a centerline extending longitudinally across the sleeves and the upper sleeve body to stabilize and provide support to the shoulders of a wearer during an upward lifting motion.
