Wearable device for guiding a line of a fitness apparatus
09814923 · 2017-11-14 · ·

Ankle band 1 for guiding a line of a fitness apparatus. The ankle band comprises a fastener 2, a base element 3 and a guidance element for guiding the line of the fitness apparatus. The guidance element 4 is connected by a linkage member 5 to obtain a movable connection from an initial position to a working position in case that a force is exerted via the line. A resilient member 51 is provided to generate a spring force when the linkage member 5 is moved away from its initial position. The resilient member 51 returns the guidance element 4 back from the working position to the initial position in case that an exerted force reduces. The predetermined initial position is advantageous when attaching the line of the fitness apparatus to the device. The line can be connected to the device by using just a single hand.

Sports garment

The present invention provides a garment (1) for covering a wearer's thighs. The garment comprises a pair of front resistance elements (6) each of which, in use, extends obliquely across the front of a respective one of the wearer's thighs. It also comprises a pair of rear resistance elements (10) each of which, in use, extends obliquely across the rear of a respective one of the wearer's thighs. Each of the front and rear resistance elements extends from a respective upper position (7, 11) located proximal to the midline (8) of the garment to a respective lower position (9, 12) located distal from the midline of the garment. This provides a stabilizing effect on the wearer's hip joint.

Walking movement aid

Provided is a joint movement aid, which has a simple structure and is lightweight and which a user can easily put on and take off, and which has a novel structure capable of safely supporting a walking without impeding a user's autonomous fall-preventing movement even in a case of a disturbance such as external force on the user in a transverse direction. The walking movement aid includes a right and left pair of assisting units provided with drive sources, which exert a pulling force on flexible auxiliary force transmission parts, and a control member for controlling the respective drive sources of the assisting units corresponding to changes in a joint angle with user's hip joints.

Dynamic hand splints
09764190 · 2017-09-19 · ·

A dynamic hand splint including a hand support section, a sleeve configured to receive a digit therein, and a first tensioner having an elastic body and forming a loop, wherein the first tensioner is attached to the hand support section, as well as a first location of the sleeve, such that the first tensioner extends from the hand support section to the first location and a first joint of the digit. The elastic body of the first tensioner has sufficient flexural strength to resist, but not prevent, bending of the digit received within the sleeve such that, when the digit is flexed from an extended position toward a flexed position, the elastic body of the tensioner is elongated with the digit and the digit is urged by the tensioner toward the extended position.

Resistance trainer having multiple interconnected body attachment points

A resistance system is configured to perform a resistance exercise for an axial base, such as a torso, and a longitudinal member, such as a leg and arm. The resistance exercise helps develop the longitudinal member and axial base by forcing the longitudinal member to pull against different, but constant tension forces, and also forcing the longitudinal member to maintain a proximal distance to the axial base. A short resistance member extends between a foundation mount on the axial base and an intermediate mount on the longitudinal member. A long resistance member extends from the foundation mount, joining with the intermediate mount, and attaching to a distal mount. The short resistance member generates greater tension force than the long resistance member when stretched. The multiple and independent connections made by resistance members create different tension forces for resistance exercises.

A GARMENT
20170252601 · 2017-09-07 ·

A garment for increasing resistance to a wearer's body, the garment having a first portion with a fabric of a first resistance characteristic operable to stretch to conform with movement of the wearer's body and at least one second portion of a fabric having a second resistance characteristic, where the second portion conforms to an associated specific body area of the wearer's body such as a muscle or muscle group. Motion of the wearer's body causes the at least one second portion to either apply greater or lesser resistance to the associated specific body area of the wearer's body than the at least first portion applies to the wearer's body to enable targeting of resistance to specific body areas of muscle.

WEARABLE RESISTANCE DEVICE WITH POWER MONITORING

Disclosed is a technical training garment configured for use with modular, interchangeable biomechanics units and or resistance modules. The garment may provide resistance to movement throughout an angular range of motion and or tracks a variety of biomechanical parameters such as stride length, stride rate, angular velocity and power expended by the wearer. The garment may be low profile, and worn by a wearer as a primary garment or beneath or over conventional clothing or athletic uniform. The device may be worn as a supplemental training and or diagnostic tool during conventional training protocols, or as a biomechanics or biometric data capture device during competition.
