Soft universal remote controller

Methods for a soft universal remote (SUR) controller are performed by systems and apparatuses. Audio/visual (A/V) devices may be controlled by hardware remote controllers that are not configured to control other devices of an audio/visual system. A SUR controller implemented by an A/V device provides consumable control signals to such other devices based on control signals from the A/V device remote controller. A SUR controller determines another device for which a received control function is directed, and transmits a generated consumable control signal for the control function of the received control signal is provided to the other device. User interfaces are provided by SUR controllers for the configuration of SUR controllers and remote controllers, and for control of other A/V devices via the user interfaces.

A display apparatus may include an input terminal configured to receive an analog video signal; a tuner configured to receive a broadcast signal; a rear multiplexer configured to multiplex at least two of the analog video signal and an output signal of the tuner; an analog digital converter configured to convert the output signal of the rear multiplexer into a digital signal; and a decoder configured to decode the digital signal. The tuner may include an analog broadcast tuner outputting an analog broadcast video signal and an analog broadcast audio signal; a broadcast tuner; a digital broadcast tuner outputting a digital broadcast signal; and a front multiplexer multiplexing at least two of the analog broadcast video signal and the analog broadcast audio signal and the digital broadcast signal.

Systems and methods for graphics adjustment based on output resolution
11170467 · 2021-11-09 · ·

A graphics adjustment system detects the video resolution of digital video to be output by a receiving device and saves the graphics settings input by the user when the user adjusts the graphics settings on the receiving device such that the digital video being presented in the presentation device is not cut off due to overscanning. The system saves the graphics adjustment settings as the setting to use going forward for digital video of that same resolution for that particular presentation device. In this manner, the digital video output from the receiving device will not be cut off when presented on the presentation device, even when the receiving device is switching between receiving digital video programming of different resolutions from various program distributors and/or the content providers.

SYSTEM, APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING REMOTE TUNER OPTIONS IN A VEHICLE ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEM

In one example, a remote tuner module includes: a first tuner to receive, process and demodulate a first radio frequency (RF) signal to output an analog audio signal, and to receive and process a second RF signal to output a first downconverted modulated signal; a second tuner to receive and process the second RF signal to output a second downconverted modulated signal; a demodulator circuit coupled to the first and second tuners to demodulate and link the first and second modulated signals, to output a linked demodulated signal. The remote tuner module may further include a gateway circuit coupled to at least the demodulator circuit to output the analog audio signal and the linked demodulated signal.
