The present invention provides an X-ray detection device and an apparatus and method for calibrating an X-ray detector, the method for calibrating an X-ray detector comprising: retrieving a calibration parameter stored in the X-ray detector relative to the X-ray detector; and calibrating the X-ray detector according to the calibration parameter.

Methods and apparatus to perform an automated gain control protocol with an amplifier based on historical data corresponding to contextual data are disclosed. Example apparatus disclosed herein include a first controller to, in response to a trigger to identify an automatic gain control (AGC) parameter for an AGC protocol, determine the AGC parameter for the AGC protocol based on historical data corresponding to contextual data. Disclosed example apparatus also include a processor to perform the AGC protocol based on the selected AGC parameter. Disclosed example apparatus further include a second controller to update the historical data based on the contextual data and a result of the AGC protocol.

An embodiment may include a display processor, memory to store a 2D frame corresponding to a projection from a 360 video, and a quality selector to select a quality factor for a block of the 2D frame based on quality information from neighboring blocks of the 2D frame, including blocks which are neighboring only in the 360 video space. The system may also include a range adjuster to adjust a search range for the 2D frame based on a search area of the 2D frame, a viewport manager to determine if a request for a viewport of the 2D frame extends beyond a first edge of the 2D frame and to fill the requested viewport with wrap-around image information, and/or a motion estimator to estimate motion information based on both color information and depth information. An image pickup system includes an image pickup device including an image pickup section, a first amplifier circuit capable of amplifying a video signal for each field, and a communication circuit configured to acquire a set gain of the first amplifier circuit, a second amplifier circuit configured to amplify the video signal outputted from the image pickup device, and a processor. According to a result of a detection indicating that the video signal is not amplified by the set gain in the first amplifier circuit, a correction gain to be set in the second amplifier circuit is calculated.
