An operating device for wirelessly controlling a program, in particular an exercise or fitness program, on an electronic output device, comprising a control device (12), characterized in that the control device (12) is configured to fast-forward or rewind or to pause or continue the exercise or fitness program, wherein the operating device (1) can be fastened to an exercise mat (100) and/or can be integrated into the exercise or fitness mat (100), such that a top side of the operating device (1) is flush with a top side of the exercise or fitness mat (100) in an integrated state. Furthermore, the present invention relates to an exercise mat (100) comprising such an operating device (1).
APPARATUS AND METHODOLOGY FOR PRESERVING A YOGA MAT
Aspects of the disclosure relate to yoga mats. In one example, a yoga mat preserver is disclosed, which includes a perimeter with dimensions substantially similar to a yoga mat, and a thickness substantially less than a thickness of the yoga mat. For this example, at least one component of the yoga mat preserver comprises a moisture absorbent material. In another example, a yoga mat carrier is disclosed, which includes a first end configured to wrap around a circumference of a first end of a rolled yoga mat, and a second end configured to wrap around a circumference of a second end of the rolled yoga mat. The yoga mat carrier further includes a strap in which a first end is attached to the first end of the yoga mat carrier, and a second end is attached to the second end of the yoga mat carrier.
Postural Platform Training Device
Disclosed herein are devices, systems and methods for redistributing the normal weight distribution of a user in a standing position. One example is a postural platform for either the left or right foot having a bottom surface defining a reference plane, a top surface configured as a foot contact surface and a perimeter side wall between the bottom and top surfaces. The top surface of the postural platform is rotated about a first rotational axis parallel to the reference plane and rotated about a second rotational axis orthogonal to the reference plane. In another example, a system includes first and second postural platforms that are independent of one another. In other example, the device is a sandal, shoe, sneaker or any foot covering with a tops surface being at a complex angle to a bottom surface. The top surface is tiled downwardly either to the left or right and turned either counter-clockwise or clockwise based on whether it is a respective left or right postural platform.
Collapsible hip thrust exercise apparatus
Embodiments of a collapsible, user-friendly weighted hip thrust exercise apparatus are provided. The apparatus may include a base frame enclosing an exercise space, with an upper body support attached to one end of the frame. The frame may be adjustable in length and/or width in order to accommodate different users. The upper body support provides an elevated back rest for the user, and may be adjustable in height. A user may sit down in the exercise space enclosed by the frame with the user's upper-back and arms resting on top of the upper body support, placing his or her feet on top of the frame on the other width side. The apparatus may further feature a central resistance band positioned at the user's hip line, coupled to side handles or multiple attachment points, and detent pins to removably lock the apparatus in place for use.
STACKABLE CUSHIONS
Examples of stackable exercise cushions are disclosed. The cushions include a body and are defined by shaped top and bottom surfaces. The shaped top surface has a side-view profile with at least one concave portion and at least one raised portion adjacent to the at least one concave portion such that, from a top view of the body, the at least one raised portion is at a perimeter of the at least one concave portion. The shaped bottom surface has a side-view profile with at least one concave portion underneath the at least one raised portion of the shaped top surface, at least one convex portion underneath the at least one concave portion of the shaped top surface, and at least one flat portion such that, from a bottom view of the body, the at least one flat portion is at a perimeter of the shaped bottom surface.
SOMATOSENSATION AND PROPRIOCEPTOR STIMULATION SURFACE
A somatosensation and proprioceptor stimulation surface configured to stimulate rapid-firing nerves in the receptive field of a user's glabrous skin. The somatorsensation and proprioceptor stimulation surface includes a plurality of protuberances disposed thereupon, each protuberance sized and spaced apart appropriately to impress the receptive field when pressed in contact with the glabrous skin of the user. Each protuberance widens from an apex toward a base whereby increased pressure applied to the surface increases an area of contact and stimulation by applying stimulation over a larger area of skin. The protuberances are spaced apart to maximize stimulation of rapid firing nerves while lessening overstimulation. The somatosensation and proprioceptor stimulation surface is rendered in the form of a mat or floor covering and alternatively as an insole for wear in a user's shoes.
TRAINING APPARATUS
A training apparatus for stimulating the back muscles associated with a person's spine has two rows of shaped bodies, which run one beside the other in a longitudinal direction, in particular are not offset from one another, are connected to one another via connecting portions and project away from a base plane which runs through the connecting portions. Each shaped body has at least one bearing region, which is in the form of a bearing point or bearing surface and is intended for stimulating the back muscles, wherein the shaped bodies of the one row along with the adjacent, associated shaped bodies of the other row form respective shaped-body pairs, and wherein the shaped bodies of the shaped-body pairs form interspaces, in which portions of a spine can be accommodated in the longitudinal direction of the rows. The shaped bodies are formed monolithically together with the connecting portions.
Rollable Fitness Mat
A mat, such as an exercise, yoga, an/or Pilates mat, that includes two bottom panels and a top layer, the panels being assembled in a manner that enables a user to roll the mat in a way that keeps an upper surface of the mat clean.
Exercise mat having a three-dimensional surface texture
Examples of an exercise mat having a three-dimensional surface texture and methods for making same are disclosed. The exercise mat may have a first malleable layer formed from a polyurethane material with an elastic fabric material attached to a lower surface thereof. A second layer may be attached to the elastic fabric material of the first layer. The second layer may be formed from a thermoplastic elastomer material and may have the three-dimensional surface texture formed on an upper surface thereof to which the first layer conforms. The exercise mat may also include a third rubber layer attached to the second layer.
Ergonomic hand and wrist support device for yoga
An ergonomic hand and wrist support device for yoga includes a flat bottom surface having a circular perimeter and a curved top surface opposite the bottom surface. The top surface is connected to the bottom surface at the circular perimeter. The curved top surface has the shape of an oblate spheroid, the oblate spheroid defining a major axis perpendicular to a minor axis. The flat bottom surface is perpendicular to a minor axis of the oblate spheroid. A plurality of texture and/or alignment bumps are disposed on the curved top surface. The plurality of texture/alignment bumps are organized into a plurality of rows. The device has a Shore A hardness of equal to or between 35-75.
