Multimedia mobile personalization system
A multimedia mobile personalization system provides a remote control that detects a user's electronic tag, e.g. an RFID tag. The remote control notifies a multimedia device of the user's identity. The multimedia devices tailors it operations to the user's preferences stored locally. Multimedia content such as broadcast or recorded television programs, music play lists, and the like could be sorted, displayed, or restricted, depending on the user identifier.
System and method for supporting selective backtracking data recording
Systems and methods can support a data processing apparatus. The data processing apparatus can include a data processor that is associated with a data capturing device on a stationary object and/or a movable object. The data processor can receive data in a data flow from one or more data sources, wherein the data flow is configured based on a time sequence. Then, the data processor can receive a control signal, which is associated with a first timestamp, wherein the first timestamp indicates a first time. Furthermore, the data processor can determine a first data segment by applying the first timestamp on the data flow, wherein the first data segment is associated with a time period in the time sequence that includes the first time.
Method, system and computer program product for editing movies in distributed scalable media environment
A movie editor converts a received movie into a proxy format, and creates a texture strip representing the frames of the movie. An editor can use the texture strip to edit the movie, rather than editing the movie directly. Deep tags and/or special effects can be defined for the texture strip using a graphical interface. The graphical interface enables movies to be combined into a playback product according to a control structure graphically presented in the graphical interface.
Method, system and computer program product for distributed video editing
A network editor comprises a central location with stored videos such as movies that can be edited by editors at remote locations. An editor receives a representation of a video, and specifies edits relative to the representation, enabling the editor to use a device lacking sufficient processing capability to edit the video directly, and also reducing the volume of information transmitted between the central location and the remote editor. The central location is able to provide the edited movie in a format suitable to the display capabilities of the viewing device of the viewer requesting the edited video.
Distributed scalable media environment for advertising placement in movies
A method of placing an ad in a video in an original format may include producing a transcoded video in a proxy format which is a representation of frames of the video in the original format. The transcoded video in the proxy format is convertible to other formats for output. The method may include selecting the ad from a set of ads, selecting a location within a frame of the transcoded video where the ad is to be placed, selecting frames of the transcoded video where the ad is to be placed, placing a placeholder in the transcoded video in the selected frames at the selected location, and storing the transcoded video in the proxy format. When the transcoded video is presented to a user on a display device, the selected ad is inserted in place of the placeholder.
Distributed scalable media environment for advertising placement in movies
Ads are placed in a movie using a graphical interface that enables selecting of the ads from a set of ads, selecting frames of the movie for the ad, and selecting locations in the frames for the ads. Each of the ad and the movie can be a still image, a full motion video, an audio, a graphic or a combination thereof. An executable command may also be a part of the ad that is inserted, the command being selected for execution by a viewer of the ad when the movie is played to the viewer.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR PLAYING AN INTERACTIVE AUDIOVISUAL MOVIE
For playing an interactive audiovisual movie, stored in a data store of a computerized playback device is a movie episode data object which comprises a plurality of audio/video segments, separate audio tracks, and playback instructions. The playback device retrieves the playback instructions and, in accordance with the playback instructions, retrieves and plays audio/video segments, generates interface elements for receiving from a user decision commands while playing the audio/video segments, and retrieves and plays further audio/video segments depending on the user decision commands. The playback device further retrieves one of the separate audio tracks and plays the separate audio track uninterruptedly while playing an end of a first audio/video segment and a start of a second audio/video segment which is played subsequently to the first audio/video segment. Thus, an audio track is played uninterruptedly across the boundary of two consecutive audio/video segments.
Method and apparatus for creating a custom track
A method and system for creating and editing video and/or audio tracks is described. The method includes providing at least one artist, venue, and track available for selection and providing at least one clip associated with the at least one artist, venue, and track. The method also includes allowing a user to create a custom track from the at least one clip. The system includes a plurality of video cameras for recording a live performance at a plurality of positions. The system also includes at least one server for storing a plurality of video clips created from the plurality of video cameras and an application stored on the at least one server for allowing a user to access the plurality of video clips via the Internet.
Devices, systems and methods for tracking and auditing shipment items
Devices, systems and methods for tracking and auditing shipment items are provided by capturing video of the shipment items handled in a facility. In certain embodiments, tracking devices are disclosed that can be integrated in a platform for material handling vehicle and manufacturing systems. In certain embodiments, tracking devices can provide tracking and auditing of shipment items by using a method of capturing video of shipment items as they are being handled. In certain embodiments, tracking devices can be coupled to video cameras. The video to be captured may be determined based on the information collected and/or commands received in relation to the items. In some embodiments, the method can create metadata and associate video and item information for shipment items handled in a facility. The video and metadata can be accessed through a communication network at a later time for tracking, auditing and other purposes.
Creation of media clips from media broadcasts
A media sharing system receives a media stream from a broadcaster system. The media sharing system streams a transcoded version of the media stream to user devices that request the media stream broadcast. Additionally, as the media stream is received from the broadcaster system, the media sharing system generates media segments that include the content of the media stream. Based on programming information received for the media stream, the media sharing system creates a media clip for each program included in the media stream. The media sharing system uses content from the media segments to generate the media clips. Further, as a user is viewing a media stream broadcast to the user's device by the media sharing system, the user may request the creation of a media clip from the media stream. The system identifies media segments that include content of the desired media clip and creates the media clip.
