Pilates Exercise Device and Method
A supporting device for users of a Pilates exercise machine to maintain them at an inclined angle upon the platform or carriage of the exercise machine during use. The device features a body having a bottom adapted for positioning on the moving or stationary carriage of the Pilates machine and an inclining top surface to support the body of the user inclined.
LOWER LEG STRENGTHENING DEVICE AND METHOD OF USE THEREOF
The present invention relates to a device and method of use thereof for lower leg strengthening, particularly for strengthening the anterior tibialis. In one form, the device includes: a foot mount for mounting to a foot of a user, said foot mount including a pair of opposed side plates and at least two rods interconnecting the opposed side plates, at least one of said two rods including an actuating mechanism for tightening and loosening the opposed side plates about the foot of the user; and a weight mount operatively associated with the foot mount and configured to mount one or more weights thereon. In use, the device is configured to provide resistance to dorsiflexion of the foot of the user.
Pilates Exercise Device and Method
A supporting device for users of a Pilates exercise machine to maintain the user at an inclined angle upon the platform or carriage of the exercise machine during use. The supporting device features a body having a bottom adapted for positioning on the moving or stationary carriage of the Pilates machine and an inclining top surface to support the body of the user inclined. A first and second side space formed on opposing sides of a narrowed portion of said top surface provide respective spaces for positioning of the arms of the user therein.
Shoulder strengthening apparatus
A shoulder strengthening apparatus includes a base, a shaft having a distal end portion and a proximal end portion pivotably coupled to the base, a hand rest coupled to the distal end portion of the shaft such that the hand rest is configured to move with the shaft relative to the base, and a resistance mechanism configured to restrict movement of the shaft relative to the base.
Exosuit systems with lumbar and core support
Exosuits that use core grip members are described herein. Core grip members apply forces in a radially inward manner from the exterior of the body to the interior of the body to provide support to the user and to serve as a platform for mounting power layer segments.
Postural platform training device
Disclosed herein are devices, systems and methods for redistributing the normal weight distribution of a user in a standing position. One example is a postural platform for either the left or right foot having a bottom surface defining a reference plane, a top surface configured as a foot contact surface and a perimeter side wall between the bottom and top surfaces. The top surface is rotated about a first rotational axis parallel to the reference plane and rotated about a second rotational axis orthogonal to the reference plane. In another example, a system includes first and second postural platforms that are independent of one another. In other examples, the device is a sandal, shoe, sneaker or any foot covering with a tops surface being at a complex angle to a bottom surface.
Core Training Device and Method
The present invention provides an exercise device (100) for exercising core muscles of a user’s torso. The exercise device comprises a frame (110), configured to be supported by the user and a radially outwardly facing channel (130;
Mag-Lev Limb Training Device
A device for training and rehabilitation of a limb is provided. The device provides a board with an ability to magnetically levitate a movement base above the board to allow for controlled movement of a limb or other body part of a user needing training and rehabilitation in various directions.
Exercise tool
The exercise tool includes a rigid base with a torso support extending up from a central portion of the base, and with a pair of handles extending up from lateral portions of the base. The torso support includes padding on at least an upper portion thereof. The padding is contoured to have a non-planar upper surface. The handles can be gripped by fingers of a user while the user rests a backside of a torso of the user upon the torso support, and leg and hip lifting and lowering exercises can be performed. In one embodiment, the handles include multiple separate bars in different orientations to facilitate optimal hand gripping. The exercise tool can be utilized for a large number of exercises with then tool supporting hands, feet, and/or torso or other body portions which benefit from being supported above ground while performing various exercises.
HANG ROW PENDULUM APPARATUS AND METHODS OF USING SAME
A hang row pendulum apparatus, comprising: a crossbar; and, a main post, connected to the crossbar at a lower end of the main post and having a pivot point on the main post opposite the crossbar.
