Recommending and activating scenes in a multimedia system are provided. The techniques of the present disclosure can allow the states of the components in the multimedia system to be captured in a scene. Once the scene has been saved, the scene can be activated at a later time. A controller device for recommending scenes by comparing the current state with states of components in saved scenes is also provided. The controller device can also determine if media is playing in a current scene, and activate a selected scene without playing the media content. Once the selected scene is activated, the media playing in the current scene can be switched, and the media playing in the selected scene can be played.

This technology is to enable high quality audio reproduction on the reception side without supplying a transmission clock using a clock signal line from the reception side to the transmission side. The transmission apparatus receives encoded data capable of clock recovery from a reception apparatus (external device), generates an audio clock on the basis of a carrier clock recovered from the encoded data, and transmits audio data to the reception apparatus in synchronization with the audio clock. The reception apparatus transmits the encoded data capable of clock recovery to the external device in synchronization with the carrier clock generated on the basis of an self-generating audio clock, receives the audio data from the transmission apparatus (external device), and processes the audio data on the basis of the self-generating audio clock.

The present technology relates to a transmission device, a reception device, a control method, a program, and a transmission and reception system capable of increasing a data transmission efficiency.

In a case where a data stream is transmitted in a predetermined mode, and when a parameter that defines content of the mode is changed, the transmission device according to one aspect of the present technology switches transmission of the data stream in the mode defined by the changed parameter is started after training processing for performing data synchronization and correction of a difference between data timings of the lanes by the reception device is executed or is started without executing the training processing according to a type of a parameter to be changed. The present technology is applied to data transmission between chips.

Transmission device, reception device, and communication system

A transmission device includes an image processing unit that controls transmission of a first packet including region information regarding a region detected from an image and controls transmission of a second packet for each of lines in which at least the region has been detected in the image. The second packet comprises a header including information regarding the line, and a payload including region data concerning a partial region corresponding to the line, out of the region, in which the header includes: identification information of the data included in the payload; an error correction code of the information included in the header; and an extension region provided so as to be interposed between the identification information and the error correction code, and information indicating whether or not the region data is included in the payload corresponding to the header is set in at least a part of the extension region.

Method and device for temporal synchronization of optical transmission of data in free space

A method and a device for time synchronisation of the optical transmission of data in free space from a transmitter to at least one receiver are discussed. In the method and the device, the time synchronisation between the image reproduction of a transmitter and the image recording of a camera is to be improved for the optical free space transmission between transmitter and camera. This is achieved in that a method and a device for time synchronisation of the optical transmission of data in free space from a transmitter to at least one receiver is provided, wherein an arbitrary time recording phase for an image recording by the camera is allowed, wherein an arbitrary recording start time for the image recording by the camera is allowed, an arbitrary implementation of an updating of the image content, typically line by line with a time offset, is performed for the imaging device, an arbitrary implementation of a readout timing and thus coherent shutter timings of the receiving camera is allowed, and a synchronisation is performed subsequently, on the basis of the image recordings not recorded in synchronised fashion.
