The image data and nearby-vehicle information on a vehicle are received, where the image data and the nearby-vehicle information are successively transferred from each of a plurality of vehicles capable of making a communication with each other. Furthermore, information on a line of vehicles is generated based on the nearby-vehicle information. The image data is then associated with the information on the line of vehicles. Display data may then be generated using the image data. Furthermore, the display data may be presented on a display device in the vehicle.
DYNAMIC RATE ADAPTATION ACROSS MULTIPLE VIDEO SOURCES
A computer-implemented method is provided and includes by at least one processor, obtaining an available bandwidth on the network communications link over a predetermined period of time in the future based on a measured present bandwidth and historical bandwidth measurements, determining required bandwidths for each of one or more of video sources over the predetermined period of time in the future, partitioning the calculated available bandwidth among the one or more video sources in proportion to the required bandwidths of each of the one or more video sources, and selecting one or more of a plurality of video streams from each of the one or more video sources based on a partition assigned to each of the one or more video sources. The selecting of the one or more video streams causes the one or more video streams to be transmitted over the network communications link.

A method of presenting media content is disclosed. A plurality of assets is received at a mobile device comprising a display and an orientation sensor. The plurality of assets comprises a first video asset associated with a first aspect ratio, and a second video asset associated with a second aspect ratio, different from the first aspect ratio. A desired aspect ratio is determined based on an output of the orientation sensor. In accordance with a determination that the desired aspect ratio is closer to the first aspect ratio than to the second aspect ratio, the first video asset is selected. In accordance with a determination that the desired aspect ratio is closer to the second aspect ratio than to the first aspect ratio, the second video asset is selected. The selected video is presented at the desired aspect ratio via the display.

An image display device includes a display; a first input configured to receive a first image signal input from a first external device connected to the image display device; a second input configured to receive a second image signal input from a second external device connected to the image display device; and a controller coupled with the display, the first input and the second input. Further, the controller is configured to display, on the display, a plurality of icons including a first icon and a second icon, wherein the first icon comprises a first default image identifying the first input and the second icon comprises a second default image identifying the second input, change the first default image to a first image based on the first image signal received from the first external device in response to the first icon being selected if the first external device is connected to the image display device, and change the first image back to the first default image in response to the second icon being selected. In addition, the first image is displayed at a position corresponding to an area where the first icon is displayed, and the controller is further configured to change the second default image to the second image based on the second image signal received from the second external device in response to the second icon being selected if the second external device is connected to the image display device.
Visual media capture and user interface animation
Methods for the capture, messaging and graphical user interface display of visual social media use electronic devices, especially small form factor electronic devices, each in operable communication with social media servers. The electronic devices comprise media capture controllers for the capture of visual media using image sensors and messaging controllers for sending notifications of such at least one further electronic devices. The further electronic device may similarly use the media capture controller to capture further visual media which is then uploaded to a social media server. The social media server links the first visual media and the further visual media in a linked image post object. The linked image post object may display the first visual media and the display controller may generate a user interface animation to substitute the first visual media with the further visual media substantially in place within the same display region of the display.
