The exercise machine has a frame, a carriage movably positioned upon the frame, and a plurality of biasing members. A plurality of first tension connectors are accessible near the first end of the carriage and are adapted for removably attaching selected biasing members near the first end of the carriage to resist motion of the carriage in the first direction. A plurality of second tension connectors are accessible near the second end of the carriage and are adapted for removably attaching selected biasing members near the second end of the carriage to resist motion of the carriage in the second direction. A user selectable amount of force may be applied to the carriage to resist movement in either of the first direction and the second direction.

A compressible barbell adapter is disclosed, which consists of a compression-retraction member fastened to a hollow shaft for use on a bar. The compression and retraction movement of the compression-retraction member is generally achieved by means of a pinion and a rack system, and can be utilized in conjunction with dampening means. Slidable handles are also connected to the compression-retraction member, and serve to slide along the axis of the hollow shaft, and thus along the bar. The compressible barbell adapter is meant to be fastened onto existing bars or barbells such that additional exertion is focused on the pectoral, deltoid and back muscles during various exercises.

Exercise bar
09724556 · 2017-08-08 ·

An exercise bar having a frame and a pair of rails positioned interiorly of the ends of a frame. A pair of moveable handles engaged with and mounted upon the rails. The moveable handles have a user grip. A pair of spring assemblies is located at each end of the frame and attached therein between and to the frame and one end of each respective moveable handle. During exercise, a user place weights on the outer ends of the frame and may then move the exercise bar in a general vertical swinging motion up or down, similar to existing barbells, and add additional stress via a compound movement by moving the handles in towards the center of the load and concurrently handle towards the center of the exercise bar to produce a transverse stress upon the user and user's musculature.

EXERCISE DEVICE FOR USE IN MICROGRAVITY ENVIRONMENTS
20220267028 · 2022-08-25 ·

A device including a first member for supporting a user; and a second member 14, attached to the first member, including a counterbalance portion. The first member and the second member are each moveable, and operable to slide with respect to each other in opposite directions, between a first position and a second position. The device can be operable such that between the first and second positions, the combined center of mass of the device 10 and its user remains substantially fixed. This serves to reduce the extent of forces and vibrations generated by use of the device on the object to which the device is located.

PHYSICAL EXERCISE EQUIPMENT IN PARTICULAR FOR THE PILATES METHOD

An exercise equipment device comprises a frame provided with a first end, a second end and two side rails extending from the first end to the second end, a moving carriage supported by the side rails being configured to perform a movement in translation along at least one portion of a length of the side rails and having a planar support surface, a first set of springs supported by the carriage, the first set of springs being configured to extend toward at least the first end of the frame, two transverse crossmembers, and four profiled feet formed by a profile having a closed outer cylindrical peripheral casing and a cylindrical interior channel.

Walking assist device

A walking assist device has a frame, a plurality of wheels, drive units, a battery, and a drive control unit that controls the drive units. The walking assist device also has: a pair of right and left movable handles that are grasped by a user and movable back and forth with respect to the frame in accordance with arm swing performed during walk of the user; handle guide units provided on the frame to guide the movable handles in a movable range that matches the arm swing performed during walk of the user; and a grasp portion state detection unit that detects the state of the movable handles. The drive control unit controls the travel speed of the walking assist device by controlling the drive units on the basis of the state of the movable handles which is detected using the grasp portion state detection unit.
