Exercise bike
An exercise bike operable while remaining stationary on a support surface. The exercise bike includes a bicycle frame with a pedal assembly coupled to a clutch mechanism that is movable between an unlocked state in which the pedal assembly drives a wheel in a first rotational direction and rotates relative to the wheel in a second rotational direction, and a locked state in which the pedal assembly is rotationally fixed to the wheel to drive the wheel in the first rotational direction and the second rotational direction, and a handlebar assembly. The handlebar assembly is coupled to the bicycle frame and includes a handlebar and a locking mechanism. The locking mechanism is moveable between an unlocked position in which the handlebar is allowed to rotate about an axis, and a locked position in which the handlebar is restricted from rotating about the axis. A control module may move the locking mechanism and the clutch mechanism between their respective locked and unlocked states.
MODULAR EXERCISE APPARATUS, SYSTEM, AND METHODS
An exercise system includes a base module having a seat with a seat depth, and a vertically adjustable back configured to fixedly engage with the base module at a first seat depth and a second seat depth different from the first seat depth.
Exercise Apparatus
A piece of exercise equipment particularly for improved strength training exercises. More particularly, the invention relates to equipment that allows the user to vary tension when performing different exercises. The present invention is specifically designed for improved exercise through the variability of a tension component for use in such exercises as the plank exercise, sit-ups, push-ups and supine pull-ups that includes a core support, a guide arm, a head support, and a foot support that work in conjunction to most optimally support the user. The core support, the head support and the foot support are all connected, supported, and elevated from the floor by a central support system.
ADJUSTABLE ARM ON AN EXERCISE DEVICE
A cable-operated exercise device includes an adjustable arm. The adjustable arm includes an adjustment mechanism that is operable by a single hand. To adjust the vertical angular position of the arm, the user pulls a pin out of a positioning hole on an adjustment plate. The arm is counterbalanced about a pivot connection so that the position of the arm does not change when the pin is pulled out of the positioning hole. The user then moves the arm into a second position and puts the pin back into a second positioning hole.
Exercise apparatus
An exemplary first apparatus includes a cylindrical sleeve that attaches to a rod such as a barbell. The first apparatus also includes a arcuate portion that connects to a handle to allow the handle to move to and be secured at various user selected angles. An exemplary second apparatus is a core training device that includes a pair of rotatable handles and a number of connectors that allow for additional resistance to be added a different points on the device.
Rotation resistant exercise device
An exercise or fitness device designed to strengthen the entire body, with particular focus on the upper body. The device facilitates the strengthening of the core, chest, back, shoulder, and arm muscles, and in particular those muscles that move the core in the transverse plane. The device consists of two hemispherical shells, both of which have handles attached via risers. This arrangement allows the device to be gripped either by the spherical surfaces, by the handles, or a combination thereof. The two hemispheres are attached to each other by means of a shaft with a variable braking mechanism. The braking mechanism can provide levels of rotational resistance from almost zero to virtually impossible to rotate, with the resistance level being visibly indicated on the exterior of the device. The resistance level is changed by repeatedly rotating the two halves against each other in one direction or another. Key areas of the exterior of the device are treated with non-slip areas to facilitate the user gripping the device during exercise.
Repositioning point of actuation for an exercise appliance
An exercise machine comprises an arm support, including: a carriage configured to slide within a track attached to the exercise machine; and a support assembly that floats the carriage relative to the track, wherein the support assembly is disengaged by the application of force via the arm. An exercise machine comprises a rotatable column, wherein the column supports an arm, and a gear detent mechanism to support a discrete number of positions for the rotatable column. An exercise machine comprises a tiltable arm, and a mechanism to support a discrete number of positions for the tiltable arm.
Doorway pullup handle
A pullup handle includes a U-shaped clamp configured to secure the pullup handle to a desired location. The U-shaped clamp includes an arm on a first side of the U-shaped clamp, a support on a second side of the U-shaped clamp opposite the arm, and a base between the arm and the support. The pullup handle also includes a handle attached on the base of the U-shaped clamp.
Adjustable four-bar linkage assembly exercise station
A four-bar linkage assembly exercise station that can be adjusted to various configurations to create various exercise motions having at least one adjustable operational pivot that is movable prior to operation of the machine and stationary during operation of the machine and at least one stationary adjustment pivot operatively connected to the at least one adjustable operational pivot. The stationary adjustment pivot is also operatively connected to an adjusting and latching component or assembly that can be engaged by a user prior to operation of the machine to adjust the four-bar linkage assembly exercise station to a desired configuration to create a unique exercise motion and secure the desired configuration of the adjustable four-bar linkage assembly.
Portable devices for exercising muscles in the ankle, foot, and/or leg, and related methods
A portable exercise device includes a pedal spaced away from and pivotably connected to a base and having a neutral position relative to a pivot axis. The pedal is configured to rotate about the pivot axis in a first direction toward the base and in a second direction, opposite the first direction, toward the base. The device also includes a resistance mechanism configured to exert a force on the pedal about the pivot axis in a direction opposite to the respective direction of rotation of the pedal. The device is movable between an open, in-use configuration, where the pedal is disposed in the neutral position to receive a foot and spaced away from the base, and a closed configuration, where the pedal is adjacent the base.
