Real-time wireless synchronization of live event audio stream with a video recording
Systems and methods are presented herein that facilitate temporally synchronizing, in real time, a separately sourced high quality audio segment of a live event with a video segment that is generated by a recording device associated with a member of the audience. An A-V Synchronization Application may synchronize a video segment of a live event that is generated from a personal electronic device of an audience member with a high quality audio segment that is separately sourced and generated by professional sound recording equipment at the live event. The result of the temporal synchronization is a high fidelity digital audio visual recording of the live event. In various, the audience member may stream, in real-time, the high fidelity digital audio visual recording to an additional electronic device at a different geo-location. In some examples, narrative audio segments may be also included as part of the high fidelity digital audio visual recording.
Media player configuration to provide viewing data feedback
A method transmits configuration information including a set of events that define when a media program player should send information regarding playback of an advertisement during an advertisement break in a media program. Also, the method transmits, to the user device, advertising control options configured to be output on the user device. A user selection for a control option in the advertising control options is received from the user device, wherein the control option controls sending of an advertisement to the user device during the advertisement break. The method then receives advertisement viewing data describing a viewing of the advertisement on the user device, wherein sending of the advertisement viewing data by the media program player is triggered based on an event in the set of events occurring at the media program player.

Detecting anomalous events to trigger the uploading of video to a video storage server
A computer-implemented method includes: monitoring, by a computing device, video or image data captured by a plurality of cameras implemented within a vehicle; monitoring, by the computing device, vehicle information associated with the vehicle, wherein the vehicle information includes sensor information reported by tire pressure sensors or impact sensors of the vehicle, or vehicle diagnostic information; detecting, by the computing device, satisfaction of particular video upload event criteria for which video should be uploaded for secure storage and future analysis, wherein the detecting the satisfaction of the video upload criteria is based on the monitoring the video or image data and the vehicle information; and uploading, by the computing device, video captured by a subset of the plurality of cameras to a video storage server, wherein the subset of the plurality of cameras include cameras capture the video or image data used to detect the satisfaction of the video upload event criteria or are associated with the vehicle information used to detect the satisfaction of the video upload event criteria.
Transferring Playback Queues Between Devices
In some implementations, a computing device can transfer a playback queue between the computing device and a playback device. For example, the computing device can detect when the computing device is within a threshold distance of a playback device. The computing device can establish a connection to the playback device and receive state information describing the media playback state of the playback device. The computing device can determine the media playback state of the computing device. The computing device can present graphical user interfaces for initiating a transfer of a playback queue between the computing device and the playback device based on the playback state of the devices. The computing device can initiate a transfer of the playback queue in response to user input to one of the graphical user interfaces or automatically based on the context of the computing device.
Content conditioning and distribution of conditioned media assets at a content platform
Aspects of the disclosure relate to configuration of content and consumption thereof content in a networked environment. In certain aspects, the consumed content can be coordinated or otherwise synchronized between disparate consumption devices, which may be served content via different content platforms. In another aspect, the consumed content can be customized for a specific device and/or an end-user thereof. In yet another aspect, recommendations for content and/or products associated with at least a portion of the content can be provided.
HYBRID VIDEO TIME-BANDWIDTH PRODUCT IMPROVEMENT (HVTBPI) TRANSMISSION
A video aggregator can multiplex multimedia content, the multiplexed multimedia content being directed to a plurality of customer premises equipment, and aggregate the multiplexed multimedia content into a reduced number of broadcast channels to release at least one of bandwidth and radio frequency spectrum, not included in the reduced number of broadcast channels, for other applications. A system controller can electronically control delivery of the aggregated and multiplexed multimedia content to the plurality of customer premises equipment within the reduced number of broadcast channels, receive a request for unavailable other content, and electronically control delivery of the unavailable other content. A system processor can determine whether other content, the other content being at least one of not currently being broadcast via the aggregated and multiplexed multimedia content into a reduced number of broadcast channels and not stored by a particular customer premises equipment, is unavailable to the particular customer premises equipment to determine the unavailable other content, and formulate the request for the unavailable other content if the other content is determined to be unavailable.
System and method of providing video content
A system includes a processor and a memory. The memory stores instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to perform operations including sending, via a transmitter, a primary video stream corresponding to a particular channel to a media device. The operations further include sending a secondary video stream to the media device. The secondary video stream is associated with a lower quality level than the primary video stream. Transmission of a frame of the secondary video stream is delayed with respect to transmission of a corresponding frame of the primary video stream.
System and method for recommending media programs and notifying a user before programs start
The various implementations described herein include methods and systems for personalized media program recommendations. In one aspect, a method is performed at a server system having processors and memory. The server system: (1) receives, from a client device, a user request for a media program event recommendation; (2) prior to receiving the user request, collects and stores user search history data associated with media program events; (3) creates a search query in accordance with the user request based on the user search history and a portion of the user request; (4) executes the search query against databases to generate media program event recommendations; (5) ranks the generated media program event recommendations; and (6) sends automatically to a calendar associated with the user, a calendar event corresponding to a respective media program event recommendation.
One click web records
A method, system, computer medium, and other embodiments for integrating unrelated web services with stand-alone media-based devices are provided. Users can access and control the media-based device conveniently with a web-browser through various portals on the Internet. In an embodiment directed to a single web session, users program the media-based device by clicking on one or more hyperlinks or hypertexts in the form of advertisements of upcoming broadcasts. The advertisements may be web-hosted or sponsored by web portals.
