Image measurement device and image measurement method
An image measurement device including: light sources that irradiate light beams having different peak wavelengths; a staining method obtaining unit which obtains information indicating a staining method of an inspection specimen; an image obtaining unit which: selects a combination of light sources according to the staining method, based on illumination information; and capture inspection images of the inspection specimen with light beams from the selected light sources, and capture reference images of a reference specimen with light beams from the respective light sources; a calculating unit which calculates a positivity based on the inspection images; and an evaluation unit which associates the staining method of the reference specimen with the combination of light sources to generate the illumination information based on a total value of coefficients in a linear sum of the ortho-normalization base vectors of a spectral distribution of light sources calculated based on the reference images.
Methods and systems for automated imaging of three-dimensional objects
Certain configurations are described of methods and systems that can be used to image three-dimensional objects such as biological cells, biological tissues or biological organisms. The methods and systems can image the three-dimensional objects at reduced imaging times and with reduced data volumes.
Monitoring systems and methods
Cameras can be used to detect if a visitor enters a field of view. Cameras can be mounted in many different areas, including outside buildings, inside buildings, and near other items such as pools. Cameras can send alerts to remote computing devices regarding visitors. Thus, a user of a camera can see and even speak with visitors who are located far away from the user.
Guiding method and information processing apparatus
A guiding method includes obtaining data of a first image, detecting with a computer reference image data corresponding to a reference object in the data of the first image, calculating with the computer a first condition based on an appearance of the reference object in the first image, the first condition indicating an operational condition of an imaging apparatus when first image was captured, and for a second image to be captured, outputting guide information that indicates how to adjust the first condition to match a reference condition, the reference condition corresponds to an appearance of the reference object in a reference image captured under the reference condition.
Surveillance tracking system and related methods
Embodiments of the invention may relate to systems and/or methods for using video surveillance systems to monitor spaces where people tend to gather such as retail stores, theaters, stadiums, or other public gathering places. Furthermore, embodiments may be adapted to discern elements of human behavior in a video feed, and use these behaviors to draw quantitative and/or qualitative conclusions from the video data. Typical conclusions may include overall conversion rates for a store, conversion/close rates of individual salespeople, traffic patterns within a space, peak traffic times, and so on.
Solid-state imaging device and imaging apparatus including same
A solid-state imaging device includes: pixels arranged in a matrix on a semiconductor substrate. Each of the pixels includes: a photoelectric converter that converts received light into a signal charge; at least one read gate that reads the signal charge from the photoelectric converter; charge accumulators that each accumulate the signal charge read by the at least one read gate; and a charge holder that receives, from one of the charge accumulators, transfer of the signal charge accumulated in the charge accumulator, holds the signal charge, and transfers, to one of the charge accumulators, the signal charge held, each of the charge accumulators includes a part of a transfer channel and a part of a transfer electrode overlapping with the part of the transfer channel in a planar view of the semiconductor substrate, and the transfer channel per one pixel comprises transfer channels.
DISPLAY SYSTEM AND DISPLAY METHOD USING IMAGING APPARATUS AND PROJECTION VIDEO DISPLAY APPARATUS
In a display system, an imaging apparatus takes a video by shifting pixels in units of frames by moving a solid state image sensing device or an optical member physically. A projection video display apparatus acquires a video taken by the imaging apparatus, optically performs pixel shift corresponding to pixel shift performed in the imaging apparatus at the time of imaging, and projects the video acquired.

Systems and methods for modifying fast-forward speeds based on the user's reaction time when detecting points of interest in content
Systems and methods are described for modifying a fast-forwarding speed based on a reaction time of a user when a frame of interest is detected. A media guidance application may receive a command from a user to fast-forward through a media asset and may execute a fast-forwarding operation through frames of the media asset. The media guidance application may detect that the fast-forwarding operation is approaching a frame of interest to the viewer. The media guidance application may reduce the fast-forwarding speed to a second speed slower than the first speed, where the second speed is determined based on an estimated reaction time of the user. The media guidance application may receive a command to resume playback from the user while the fast-forwarding operation is occurring at the second speed and may play back the media asset at a default playback speed from a point corresponding to a moment when the command was received.
Ptychography based system and method
A ptychography system is presented for imaging an object located in an object plane. The ptychography system comprises an optical system, and a detection device. The optical system comprises a single shot ptychography arrangement configured and operable to create light response patterns from the object in the object plane on a pixel matrix of the detection device during the same exposure session of the detection device, wherein the optical system further comprises at least one light coding device configured and operable to apply at least one predetermined coding function to at least one of illuminating light and the light response of the object being collected, and said detection device is configured and operable with a predetermined duration of the exposure session during which the pixel matrix detects the collected light, such that image data indicative of the detected light during a single exposure session is in the form of a coded light response of the object being illuminated.
