Dynamic delay equalization for media transport
Systems and methods of the present disclosure provide for dynamic delay equalization of related media signals in a media transport system. Methods include receiving a plurality of related media signals, transporting the related media signals along different media paths, calculating uncorrected propagation delays for the media paths, and delaying each of the related media signals by an amount related to the difference between the longest propagation delay (of the uncorrected propagation delays) and the uncorrected propagation delay of the related media signal/media path. Calculating the uncorrected propagation delays and delaying the related media signals may be performed in response to a change to the propagation delay of at least one of the related media signals/media paths. Additionally or alternatively, calculating the uncorrected propagation delays and delaying the related media signals may be performed while transporting the related media signals.
Multi-camera dataset assembly and management with high precision timestamp requirements
A method and apparatus for synchronizing data captured by multiple image and non-image data capture devices using timing information. In one embodiment, the device comprises a plurality of interfaces operable to receive streaming data from each of a plurality of image and non-image capture devices and timestamping logic implemented, at least in part, in hardware and coupled to the plurality of interfaces to generate and assign timestamp information to each set of data captured by individual capture devices of the plurality of image and non-image capture devices to indicate when the data was captured, where the timestamp information is synchronized to a single timestamp reference clock. The device also comprises processing logic coupled to the timestamping logic to group image data from image capture devices with data from non-image capture devices using the timestamp information.
Video-processing apparatus, video-processing system, and video-processing method
According to the present disclosure, a master decoder acquires a generator synchronization signal for synchronization of video data based on a reference signal supplied from a synchronization signal generator, selects the generator synchronization signal as a selected synchronization signal to transmit the selected synchronization signal to the slave decoder via an internal bus, and outputs the video data based on the selected synchronization signal, and the slave decoder outputs the video data based on the selected synchronization signal transmitted from the master decoder.
Method and system for synchronizing multiple data feeds associated with a sporting event
A method for synchronizing multiple data feeds includes receiving a first data feed including user-entered textual data and audio segments acquired concurrently with the user-entered textual data from a first device, receiving an additional data feed including audio segments acquired with the additional device, the first data feed and the additional data feed acquired from a common sporting event, identifying one or more distinctive audio events in the one or more audio segments received from the first device and the additional device, determining a timing offset between the first data feed and the additional data feed by comparing the one or more distinctive audio events of the one or more audio segments received from the first device and the additional device and generating a synchronized output feed by establishing a common absolute time for the first data feed and the additional data feed based on the determined timing offset.
CONTROLLING DEVICE AND METHOD FOR FREQUENCY SYNCHRONIZATION AND LCD TELEVISION
Disclosed are a controlling device and method for frequency synchronization as well as a LCD TV. The method is applied to an LCD TV, wherein the LCD TV includes a front-end motherboard chip, a main drive control chip and a plurality of column drive control chips, the method includes: when the main drive control chip recognizes that its operating frequency is unstable, it generates a clock turn-off signal; the main drive control chip transmits fixed data to each column drive control chip according to the clock turn-off signal and receives a clock training request initiated by each column drive control chip according to the fixed data; and when recognizing that the operating frequency synchronizes with a frequency corresponding to front-end data transmitted by the front-end motherboard chip, the main drive control chip responds to the clock training request and transmits clock training data to each column drive control chip.
AV timing measurement and correction for digital television
An invention for measuring, maintaining and correcting synchronization between signals which suffer varying relative delays during transmission and/or storage is shown. The present invention teaches measuring the relative delay between a plurality of signals which have suffered differing delays due to transmission, storage or other processing. The preferred embodiment of the invention includes the use of a marker which is generated in response to a second signal and combined with a first signal in a manner which ensures that the marker will not be lost in the expected processing of the first signal. Subsequently a first delayed marker is generated in response to the marker associated with or recovered from the first signal, and a second delayed marker is generated from the second signal. The first delayed marker and second delayed marker are compared to determine a measure of the relative timing or delay between said first signal and said second signal at said subsequent time.
Automatic synchronization of audio and video based media services of media content
There is provided a method for automatically synchronizing playback between a first media service and a second media service, both services corresponding to the same media content source. Common audio events in the first media service and the second media service are matched. A playback timing of at least one of the first media service and the second media service is adjusted, based on a result of the matching step, so as to automatically synchronize the playback between the first media service and the second media service.
