Exercise Device
An exercise device featuring a pair of knee joints, each pivotally coupled to a pair of calf linkages having foot pedals at their opposite lower end that support low impact user-defined natural exercise gait patterns. The knee pivots joints are supported and directed to travel by linkage and/or carriage systems that operate substantially below the user hip area, and direct the knee pivot joints in a variety of travel paths, ranging from having a constant arc, linear pathway, to having a variety of irregular arc shaped paths, as well as, pathways that may change during use. A secondary system coupled to the knee pivot support system, provides lift and dampening forces to influence the responsiveness of the foot pedals via the bending and straightening of the calf linkage about the knee pivot joint, yet do not restrict the back and forth travel of the knee joint.
TREADMILL PROVIDING CONSTANT TORQUE AT MULTIPLE INCLINES
Treadmills or similar exercise devices which utilize a motor driven belt which can be used to provide a powered running surface, but can also be used to provide a resistance to movement of the belt to allow a user to have to manually drive the belt at a constant resistance or torque regardless of incline. This later mode of operation is akin to the pushing or pulling of a weight sled and can be arranged so that a user can be required to supply a constant torque over a range of inclines.
EXERCISE MACHINES AND METHODS FOR CONTROLLING EXERCISE MACHINES HAVING ADJUSTABLE RESISTANCE AND INCLINE SETTINGS
An exercise machine for performing an exercise motion. A resistance mechanism controls a resistance for performing the exercise motion. An incline adjustment device controls an incline for performing the exercise motion. A control system is operatively coupled to the resistance mechanism and the incline adjustment device and is configured to receive a resistance setting for controlling the resistance, receive an incline setting for controlling the incline, and determine a resistance modifier for adjusting the resistance based on the incline setting. The control system is further configured to adjust the resistance setting based on the resistance modifier to provide a modified resistance setting, control the incline adjustment device based on the incline setting, and control the resistance mechanism based on the modified resistance setting to thereby cause an exertion by a user for performing the exercise motion to change when the incline setting is changed.
System and method for a mixed or virtual reality-enhanced stationary exercise bicycle
A system and method for a mixed or virtual reality-enhanced stationary exercise bicycle, comprising a stationary bicycle device, a belt-like attachment, and a mechanical arm attachment attached to the base of a stationary bike, used for measuring and determining user position for virtual or mixed reality-enhanced software.
Fitness systems and methods thereof
Systems and methods for fitness tracking are provided. An exercise apparatus is in networked communication with a fitness tracking computing system. The configuration and location of movable components of the exercise apparatus is determined based on sensors. This information is provided to the fitness tracking computing system via networked communication.
Multiple electronic control and tracking devices for mixed-reality interaction
A system for using multiple electronic control and tracking devices for mixed-reality interaction, comprising an electronic control device that communicates with a plurality of electronic devices via a network, that receives user interaction and conveys it to devices via the network, and that receives interaction from other devices via the network and conveys it to a host device, and a method for nested communication between multiple electronic control devices and electronic systems.
Exercise device
An exercise device featuring a pair of knee joints, each pivotally and respectively coupled to a pair of calf linkages, each of the pair of calf linkages having a foot pedal at an opposite lower end that supports low impact user-defined natural exercise gait patterns. The knee joints are supported and directed to travel by linkage and/or carriage systems that operate substantially below a user hip area, and direct the knee joints in a variety of travel paths, ranging from a constant arc, to a linear pathway, to a variety of irregular arc shaped paths, to pathways that may change during use. A secondary system coupled to the linkage and/or carriage systems provides lift and dampening forces to influence a responsiveness of the foot pedals via bending and straightening of the calf linkages about the respective knee joint, yet does not restrict back and forth travel of the respective knee joint.
Systems, methods and apparatus for differential air pressure devices
Described herein are various embodiments of differential air pressure systems and components for differential air pressure systems.
