The present technology may be applied to a controller which controls a plurality of GPS terminals, a controller which controls a plurality of portable game devices having a communication function and the like in addition to a controller which controls a plurality of cameras which records a multi-view video content, for example.

A photographing device according to the present invention comprises: an imaging section that captures a subject image and outputs image data; a motion picture recording section that records a motion picture based on the image data; a parameter setting section that sets a photographing parameter to change a photographing state; and a parameter control section that automatically changes the photographing parameter during the recording of the motion picture regardless of the set photographing parameter.

Techniques are disclosed for capturing, transcoding, and caching off-air programming at a location local to the consumer. According to certain embodiments, a device is provided that receives off-air (e.g., broadcast) and/or cable (e.g. ClearQAM) programming via one or more antennas and caches the programming in various streams having various bit rates for later viewing using, for example, Adaptive Bit Rate (ABR) streaming. Such a device can be incorporated in a larger system that can stream content via a data communication network (e.g., the Internet) and the device in a seamless manner. The device also can be controlled by a remote system via the data communication network, and further can be configured to stream content to a remote device via the data communication network.

A video recording device includes an image capturing module, a storage unit and a processing unit. The image capturing module is configured to capture a raw video in a first video format. The processing unit is configured to convert video session(s) other than the lately captured video content from the first video format into a second video format. The second video format is inferior than the first video format.

Disclosed are an electronic device for recording an image using multiple cameras and an operating method thereof. The electronic device may include: a first camera configured to acquire an image at a first frame rate; a second camera configured to acquire an image at a second frame rate higher than the first frame rate; a memory; and a processor, wherein the processor is configured to: identify first capturing attributes corresponding to the first camera; set at least some of second capturing attributes corresponding to the second camera, to correspond to the first capturing attributes; acquire a first image set corresponding to an external object through the first camera based on a signal for capturing the external object; identify whether a designated condition related to a frame rate increase is satisfied; acquire a second image set corresponding to the external object at the second frame rate through the second camera when the designated condition is satisfied; and store, in the memory, at least some first images from the first image set and at least some second images from the second image set, as an image corresponding to the external object.

Provided is a first recording apparatus for recording a video stream in association with a second recording device. The first recording apparatus includes a video stream receiving unit for receiving a video stream from a video providing device via a network, a buffering unit recording a portion of the received video stream in a queue, a transmission unit relaying the video stream to the second recording device, a storage unit recording the video stream, and a switching unit for switching an operation mode to one of a relay mode for relaying the video stream to the second recording device based on a state report periodically received from the second recording device and a recording mode for storing the video stream in the storage unit.

A method for playing media data is disclosed, including: transmitting, by a first operating system, a request for processing the media data to a second operating system, the first operating system and the second operating system being installed on a same device; receiving, by the first operating system, processing results from the second operating system, wherein the second operating system is configured to process the media data based at least in part on the request to generate the processing results; and playing the media data by the first operating system based at least in part on the processing results.

A camera includes: a shooting section that outputs images of an object; a moving image shooting control section that controls the shooting section to repeat shooting under predetermined shooting conditions at a predetermined frame rate; a moving image generation section that generates moving images based on images shot under the predetermined shooting conditions, respectively; an image extraction section that extracts a first image and a second image based on a predetermined condition from each of the moving images; a display section; and a display control section that performs control to simultaneously multi-display the first image and the second image of each moving image on the display section.
