MEDICAL DEVICE WITH A DISPLAY AND WITH A PROCESSING UNIT AND METHOD THEREFOR
The disclosure relates to a medical device with a display and with a processing unit and method therefor. The processing unit is suitable for detecting states of one or more technical units of the medical device. The processing unit is further set up to control the display on the basis of detected states in order to output states of the medical device. The display is an autostereographic display. The processing unit, based on an evaluation of detected states, drives the display in such a way that a first state is visually highlighted with respect to a 3D representation, while a second state is visually not highlighted with respect to a 3D representation.
Electronic device and method for changing modes via multiple displays
An electronic device includes a transparent first display panel, a second display panel and a processor electrically connected to the two panels. The first display panel is movable with respect to the second display panel. The processor is configured to switch between a plurality of display modes based on relative positioning of the two panels and to provide video signals to the two panels based on a current display mode. When the first display panel is parallel to the second display panel and faces a display area of the second display panel, the processor executes a stereoscopic display mode. When an angle between the two panels is between 0 and 180 degrees, exclusive, the processor executes an augmented reality display mode. When the display areas of the two panels are oriented away from each other, the processor executes a dual display mode.

A METHOD, APPARATUS AND SYSTEM FOR REDUCING CROSSTALK OF AUTO STEREOSCOPIC DISPLAYS
The disclosure describes a method, apparatus and system for reducing crosstalk of auto-stereoscopic displays using higher resolution panels. In such panels, a fraction of a total number of views is generated by sending a same signal on a number of adjacent views. A signal processing correcting function is applied to the fractioned views to reduce crosstalk.
UNIDIRECTIONAL GRATING-BASED BACKLIGHTING EMPLOYING AN ANGULARLY SELECTIVE REFLECTIVE LAYER
Unidirectional grating-based backlighting includes a light guide and a diffraction grating at a surface of the light guide. The light guide is to guide a light beam and the diffraction grating is configured to couple out a portion of the guided light beam using diffractive coupling and to direct the coupled-out portion away from the light guide as a primary light beam at a principal angular direction. The diffraction grating is to further produce a secondary light beam directed into the light guide at an opposite one of the principal angular direction. The unidirectional grating-based backlighting further includes an angularly selective reflective layer within the light guide adjacent to the light guide surface that is configured to reflectively redirect the diffractively produced, secondary light beam out of the light guide in the direction of the primary light beam.
Three-dimensional image processing apparatus and method for adjusting location of sweet spot for displaying multi-view image
A three-dimensional image processing apparatus and a method for controlling a location of a sweet spot for displaying a multi-view image are disclosed. A receiver receives a multi-view image including a plurality of view images. A controller detects a plurality of users from an image obtained by taking a watching zone, acquires user location information indicating locations of the plurality of detected users, calculates distance information indicating a distance between the detected users by using the acquired user location information, and controls a location of a sweet spot for viewing the plurality of view images on the basis of the calculated distance information and a length of a dead zone of the multi-view image.
