A three dimensional system including a marker mode.
TRANSFERRING OF THREE-DIMENSIONAL IMAGE DATA
A three-dimensional source device provides a three-dimensional display signal for a display via a high speed digital interface, such as HDMI. The three-dimensional display signal comprises a sequence of frames. The sequence of frames comprises units, each unit corresponding to frames comprising video information intended to be composited and displayed as a three-dimensional image. The three-dimensional source device includes three-dimensional transfer information comprising at least information about the video frames in the unit. The display detects the three-dimensional transfer information, and generates the display control signals based in dependence on the three-dimensional transfer information. The three-dimensional transfer information in an additional info frame packet comprises information about the multiplexing scheme for multiplexing frames into the three-dimensional display signal, the multiplexing scheme being selected of group of multiplexing schemes including frame alternating multiplexing, the three-dimensional transfer information indicating the number of frames being sequentially arranged within the video data period.
Display device
A display device comprises a projection device projecting a display image, an aerial imaging element, and a distribution mechanism in which distribution units are arranged at a given interval. An interval between the distribution units is determined according to a relationship between a number of view point pixels constituting a pixel unit, a number of pixel units, a distance from the pixel unit at a center to the pixel unit at an edge, a distance from a distribution unit at a center to the distribution unit at an edge, a pitch of the view point pixel, an angle of light from the pixel unit at the center emitted to the distribution unit, and an angle of the emitted light, an angle of light from the pixel unit at the edge emitted to the distribution unit, and an angle of the emitted light, a distance between the projection device and the distribution units, a refractive index of the distribution mechanism, a distance between the real image and an optimal viewing position for a viewer, and a projection width.
Computer-readable storage medium having stored therein display control program, display control system, display control apparatus, and display control method
An exemplary information processing apparatus selectively switches between: first control where control is performed such that, in a virtual space, a position of producing no parallax on a screen of a stereoscopic display is a first position near a predetermined object; and second control where control is performed such that the position of producing no parallax is closer to a viewpoint position of virtual cameras than the first position is.
Three-dimensional imaging system based on stereo hologram having nine-to-one microlens-to-prism arrangement
A three-dimensional imaging system based on a stereo hologram is disclosed. Images composed of sub-images having the same vertical-horizontal resolutions which are generated at plural image projection modules having a two-dimensional arrangement structure are projected to a prism array plate or a transmission-type diffusion plate, and are converted into light points, i.e., image points through a microlens array unit. A diffusion plate used as an image display screen is mounted to a position at which images diffused from the light points intersect with images diffused from the adjacent light points.
INTERACTIVE THREE-DIMENSIONAL DISPLAY APPARATUS AND METHOD
An interactive 3D display apparatus and method are provided. The interactive 3D display apparatus includes a hand sensing module configured to acquire a hand image by detecting a hand of a user and a user interaction module configured to generate a virtual object adjustment parameter by analyzing user-intended information about the hand based on the hand image acquired by the hand sensing module and comparing an analysis result with predefined user scenarios, an image rendering module configured to set a scene according to the generated virtual object adjustment parameter, generate image data by rendering the set scene, and convert the generated image data into display data, and a 3D display configured to display a 3D image including a virtual object in which a change intended by the user has been reflected according to the display data.
IMAGE GENERATION APPARATUS, IMAGE GENERATION METHOD, AND CALIBRATION METHOD
A marker detection block 20 scans a taken image of a plurality of markers of a fixture worn on the head of a user so as to detect a two-dimensional coordinate on the taken image of the plurality of markers. A viewpoint position correction block 30 corrects a viewpoint position of the user without use of a coordinate in a Z direction of the markers but by use of the detected two-dimensional coordinate of the plurality of markers. A stereoscopic image generation block 40 generates a parallax image obtained when a three-dimensional object is viewed from the corrected viewpoint position.
Autostereoscopic display device
A switchable autostereoscopic display device includes a display panel having an array of display pixels for producing a display, and a lens arrangement for directing the output from different pixels to different spatial positions to enable a stereoscopic image to be viewed. The lens arrangement is in a plane parallel to the display panel and includes an electrically switchable LC layer which defines a lens pattern or a lens replica pattern. The LC alignment of the LC layer is electrically switchable such that the lens arrangement is switchable between 2D and 3D modes. In the 2D mode, the LC alignment is in a first direction substantially within the plane of the lens arrangement; and in the 3D mode, the LC alignment is in a second, perpendicular direction also substantially within the plane of the lens arrangement. The light output of the display panel is polarized in the second direction.
Imaging mode blooming suppression
A minimally invasive surgical system includes a scene anti-bloom process that allows switching between imaging modes on a stereoscopic display without causing a surgeon to look-away or being momentarily distracted by sudden changes in overall scene luminance. The process receives a switch from a first imaging mode to a second imaging mode. An overall scene luminance of a scene in the first imaging mode is less than an overall scene luminance of a scene in the second imaging mode. The process delays the switch to the second imaging mode until after an illumination output level of a visible illumination source has changed to a higher output level, and then switches to the second imaging mode.
