Adjustable Rehabilitation and Exercise Device
An adjustable rehabilitation and exercise device, including a rotary member rotatable about a hub and having an elongated slot defined thereon extending radially relative to the hub, the slot including a plurality of spaced apart and opposed fingers along the length of the slots, with a plurality of gaps defined between the fingers of each side of the slot; and a mount selectively and movably positionable on a selected location on the slot of the rotary member to select an angular location of the mount. The mount includes a sliding member movably positionable along the slot to a selected radial location along the selected slot to select a radial location of the mount relative to the hub of the rotary member. The sliding member is configured to slidingly engage the slot, the slide member having at least one spring loaded lock configured to engage one of the gaps to lock the position of the sliding member, and a key operable by a user to disengage the lock from the gap to enable the sliding member to be moved to another location along the slot. A patient engagement member is connectable to the mount and movable with the mount.
Rehabilitation and Exercise Device
A rehabilitation and exercise device having patient engagement members on opposite sides of a rotary member. The device includes a motor connected to the rotary member by a clutch linked to the motor. The motor is configured to desirably rotate the rotary member so that the device may serve to move the feet/legs or other extremities of a patient through a range of motion, but do not require any application of muscle force by the patient. The clutch is also operable to disconnect the motor so that the only force applied to rotary member is the muscle force of the patient. The clutch is also advantageously operable to provide continuous passive motion and enable powered movement of a desired and adjustable amount provided by the motor, yet enable desired participation by the patient in application of muscle force.
Universal Footrest for One-Legged Operation of a Stationary Bicycle
Various embodiments for an apparatus and method for use of a footrest device with a stationary bicycle are provided. A footrest device includes a forward foundation, a rear foundation, one or more posts that extends in a horizontal direction, wherein at least one end of the one or more posts is coupled to either the forward foundation or the rear foundation. The footrest device includes a platform configured to function as a footrest, and one or more support shafts that extend in a vertical direction upwardly from the one or more posts. A method for using the footrest device includes placing one foot on a platform of the footrest device, placing a second foot on a pedal on the opposite side of the stationary bicycle, and pedaling the pedal of the stationary bicycle with the second foot while the first foot is located on the platform of the footrest device.
Physical fitness exercise device which simulates horseback riding and also facilitates upper body and lower body exercise
A physical fitness device that simulates the motion of horseback riding. Innovative features of the present invention include a horseback riding simulation post which extends both vertically, at a vertical angle toward a rider seated on the device, and an upwardly extending longitudinal section which extends toward a rider on the exercise device seat and terminates in a transverse handle which enables the user to grasp the handle with both hands or one hand. There are a pair of parallel crank arms with a respective one of the crank arms adjacent opposite sides of the exercise device with each crank arm having an upwardly extending section extending forwardly or rearwardly.
LOWER LIMB REHABILITATION, MOBILITY AND EXERCISE APPARATUS
In one aspect the invention provides a lower limb rehabilitation, mobility and exercise apparatus which includes a chassis having a front end and a rear end, and two foot platforms located between the front and rear ends of the chassis. Also provided is a transfer linkage engaged with each of the two foot platforms, the transfer linkage being connected to the chassis. The apparatus is configured so that motion of one foot platform towards the front end of the chassis causes the transfer linkage to move the remaining foot platform towards the rear end of the chassis.
Method and system for creating an immersive enhanced reality-driven exercise experience for a user
A computer-implemented system may include a treatment device configured to be manipulated by a user while the user is performing a treatment plan, a patient interface. and a computing device configured to: receive treatment data pertaining to the user who uses the treatment device to perform the treatment plan; identify at least one enhanced component using the treatment data; generate an enhanced environment using the at least one enhanced component and the treatment plan; output at least one aspect of the enhanced environment to at least one of the patient interface and another interface; receive subsequent treatment data pertaining to the user; and selectively modify at least one of the enhanced environment and at least one of the at least one aspect of the treatment plan and any other aspect of the treatment plan using the subsequent treatment data.
Gravity resistance trainer
An inclined exercise apparatus may include a support frame, pedals and arm supports for a user. The angle of incline of the inclined exercise apparatus may be adjusted to be increased for a decreased level of difficulty and decreased of an increased level of difficulty. The inclined exercise apparatus may include a chest support for supporting a user's chest. The inclined exercise apparatus may include arm supports and hand grips so that a user can adjust their body position while using the inclined exercise apparatus.

VISION AND COGNITION TESTING AND/OR TRAINING UNDER STRESS CONDITIONS
The visual and cognitive skills of a subject may be tested and/or trained by providing a visual stimulus to a subject. More particularly, a subject may be tested and/or trained when under a stress condition to determine the effect of a stress condition, such as a physical stress or a cognitive stress, on the subject's visual and sensory skills. A response may be received from a subject via an input device, the appropriateness of which may depend upon the stimulus provided to the subject. Behavioral information and other data regarding the performance of a subject and the possible effect of the stress condition may be recorded. Scoring may be based upon the speed, accuracy, and other aspects of the performance of a subject.
Universal Footrest for one-legged operation of a stationary bicycle
To allow the use of a stationary bicycle comfortably with one foot through the use of a foundation, expandable in the horizontal direction, and connected to a joint that is expandable in the vertical direction. A footrest attached to the expandable joint allows the user to place the resting foot at a comfortable level. In use the foundation is expanded so the apparatus can be attached to the stationary bicycle, the apparatus is attached to the side of the stationary bicycle with the unused pedal, the joint expanded to a level comfortable to the user, and the user then gets on the bicycle, rests the unused foot on the platform and pedals as normal with one foot.
