Systems and methods for synchronous group device transmission of streaming media and related user interfaces
Systems and methods for providing synchronous transmission of streaming media are disclosed. One method may include: receiving, from a first user device associated with a first user, a request to invite a second user to a virtual media streaming session; retrieving, from the at least one database, a second user profile, the second user profile identifying a second user device associated with the second user; transmitting, subsequent to the retrieving, instructions to the second user device to present a notification alerting the second user of the request; determining, using a processor, whether a response accepting the request is detected from the second user device; and connecting, responsive to determining that the response accepting the request was detected, the second user profile to the virtual media streaming session; wherein multimedia content presented in the virtual media streaming session is simultaneously viewable on the first user device and the second user device.
Systems and methods to enhance interactive program watching
Systems and methods are provided for determining a subset of available paths of an interactive media program to generate for output. One example method includes receiving, at a computing device, the interactive media program, wherein the interactive media program comprises a plurality of alternative segments followed by a common segment and accessing a user profile. A subset of the plurality of alternative segments are identified, based on the user profile. A set of options for output are generated, wherein the set of options enables one of the alternative segments to be selected from the identified subset of the alternative segments. A selection of an option of the set of options is received, wherein the option is a first option and a first segment of the subset of the plurality of alternative segments is generated for output, based on the selected option.
VIDEO PROCESSING DEVICE AND MANIFEST FILE FOR VIDEO STREAMING
One aspect of this disclosure relates a video processing device comprising a processor for processing a manifest file for video streaming for a user. The manifest file comprises at least a plurality of positions defined for a scene that are associated with pre-rendered omnidirectional or volumetric video segments stored on a server system. The manifest file may also contain a plurality of resource locators for retrieving omnidirectional or volumetric video segments from the server system. Each resource locator may be associated with a position defined for the scene. The video processing device may be configured to associate a position of the user with a first position for the scene in the manifest file to retrieve a first omnidirectional or volumetric video segment associated with the first position using a first resource locator from the manifest file.

Methods and systems for implementing a locked mode for viewing media assets
Methods and systems that provide an interactive media guidance application having a locked mode for viewing media assets. In the locked mode, the interactive media guidance application may provide media assets suited to a certain audience. The interactive media guidance application may determine suitable media assets for the locked mode based on media assets viewed by other users having characteristics similar to the user of the interactive media guidance application. In the locked mode, the interactive media guidance application may allow access to only certain media assets and/or limit the time period for which the media assets are presented.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR GENERATING A SUMMARY OF CONTENT BASED ON A CO-RELATION GRAPH
Provided are systems and methods for generating a customized summary of content for a user using a co-relation graph and a user preference. The co-relation graph maps, for each segment of the content, summary information of the segment and a characteristic of the segment. The system identifies, using the co-relation graph, a subset of the segments of the content based on the user preference and the characteristics of the segments. The customized summary of the content is generated based on the summary information for the identified subset of segments. The system may also use a current presentation time of the content to limit which segments are used to generate the summary. The system can also use a priority ranking to exclude summary information from less important segments to keep the summary within a desired size.
Systems and methods for identifying and storing a portion of a media asset
Systems and methods are described herein for a media guidance application that can cause a specific portion of a media asset to be stored based on a user command. For example, if the user requests the closing scene from a given movie, the media guidance application may detect the command, determine that it comprises an instruction to store a portion of a media asset, identify a source of the portion of the media asset, and cause the portion of the media asset to be stored. The media guidance application may also cause the entirety of the media asset to be stored and initiate playback at the start of the requested portion. This may allow users to store and watch portions of particular interest without requiring that the users seek through the entire media asset on their own.

An electronic device may include a wireless communication circuit, a memory, and a processor. The memory may store instructions that allow, when executed, the processor to: obtain context information associated with the state of the electronic device, and contents information being provided by the electronic device; extracting first keywords on the basis of the context information and the contents information; analyze the keyword level for the first keywords; changing the first keywords into a superordinate concept according to preset keyword levels to obtain second keywords; and transmit the second keywords to at least one server by using the wireless communication circuit. Methods, apparatus, systems, and articles of manufacture are disclosed for editing tuning data collected via automated content recognition. Examples include determining whether a time conflict exists between first tuning data corresponding to a first tuning event and second tuning data corresponding to a second tuning event. Examples also include that, in response to determining that the time conflict exists, creating a third tuning event based on the first tuning data, the second tuning data, and one or more criteria. Examples also include that modifying at least one of the first tuning event or the second tuning event based on the third tuning event. Examples also include that crediting a media presentation by the presentation device based on edited tuning data, the edited tuning data including the first modified tuning event, the second modified tuning event, and the third tuning event.
