An intelligent television can provide various interfaces for providing video-on-demand (VOD). The user interfaces include unique visual representations and organizations that allow the user to utilize the intelligent television more easily and more effectively. Particularly, the user interfaces pertain to the display of VOD content and better organizations thereof. Further, the user interfaces provide unique process of transitioning between the VOD content.

A system for generating a sequential visual narrative is provided. The system includes a media analyzer to obtain media and descriptive data pertaining to a subject and to categorize the media into narrative categories. The system includes a description generator to process the descriptive data and the narrative categories to generate text descriptions describing the subject in relation to the media. The system includes a visual display generator to sequence the media in a narrative sequence, map the narrative sequence to a display layout, and to generate and output a visual display including the text descriptions in visual association with the media.

A data structure stored in memory includes a scene description that defines a hierarchy of scene components that are in digital audio content received from a producer. The hierarchy has several stages including a fourth stage in which a scene composition is defined that contains all scene components needed to render the digital audio content in a single presentation, for instance as intended by the producer, and for input to a spatial audio renderer, wherein the scene composition contains one or more composition selection groups. The interactive program and the response are archived so that users of the plurality of participant devices may continue to interact with the interactive program after termination of the interactive program.

The disclosed computer-implemented method may include initiating a translucent layer, that includes a user interface element, for displaying over a content layer on a computing device, and receiving, from a content source, video content for the content layer. The method may also include receiving input via the user interface element and sending the input to the content source to direct the content source to modify the video content. The method may further include receiving modified video content from the content source and displaying the modified video content on the content layer. Techniques are disclosed relating to encoding recorded content for distribution to other computing devices. In some embodiments, a first computing device creates recorded content for transmission to a second computing device configured to present the recorded content. To encode the recorded content, the first computing device detects, via a network interface of the first computing device, one or more computing nodes available to encode the recorded content in one or more formats supported by the second computing device. The first computing device offloads the recorded content via the network interface to the one or more computing nodes for encoding in the one or more formats. In some embodiments, the second computing device receives a request from a user to stream content recorded by a first computing device and requests the content in a first format being encoded by a computing node assisting the first computing device.

A method for automatic video record generation is provided. method may include a plurality of sensors configured to detect at least audiovisual data. Method may include a processor that may be configured to generated prompts for a user to respond to. User responses may be collected and formed into a video record. Method may use machine learning to automatically generate video records by assembling a plurality of temporal sections gathered from audiovisual data from a user.
