An endoscope includes at least one lens having a circular exterior shape in a direction perpendicular to an optical axis, an image sensor that has a square exterior shape in the direction perpendicular to the optical axis, and has one side whose length is same as length of a diameter of the lens, a sensor cover that has a square exterior shape in the direction perpendicular to the optical axis, and has one side whose length is same as one side length of the image sensor, a bonding resin portion that fixes the sensor cover to the lens, the optical axis of the lens coinciding with a center of the imaging area.

VISION-ASSIST DEVICES AND METHODS OF CALIBRATING VISION-ASSIST DEVICES

Vision-assist devices and methods for calibrating a position of a vision-assist device worn by a user are disclosed. In one embodiment, a method of calibrating a vision-assist device includes capturing a calibration image using at least one capturing device of the vision-assist device, obtaining at least one attribute of the calibration image, and comparing the at least one attribute of the calibration image with a reference attribute. The method further includes determining an adjustment of the at least one image sensor based at least in part on the comparison of the at least one attribute of the calibration image with the reference attribute, and providing an output corresponding to the determined adjustment of the vision-assist device.

IMAGE CAPTURE WITH A CAMERA INTEGRATED DISPLAY

Certain aspects of the technology disclosed herein integrate a camera with an electronic display. An electronic display can include several layers, such as a cover layer, a color filter layer, a display layer including light emitting diodes or organic light emitting diodes, a thin film transistor layer, etc. A processor initiates light emission from a plurality of display elements. The processor can suspend the light emission from the plurality of display elements for a period of time imperceptible to a human observer. The processor initiates a camera to capture an image during the period of time the plurality of display elements are suspended. The processor can capture a plurality of images corresponding to a plurality of pixels and produce an image comprising depth information.

Vehicular camera module with focus athermalization

A vehicular camera module includes a front camera housing portion having an imager, a lens having a plurality of optical elements, and an imager printed circuit board. The imager is disposed at a front side of the imager printed circuit board and the lens is optically aligned with the imager. A rear camera housing portion is mated with the front camera housing portion to form a camera housing. A thermal element is disposed between the imager printed circuit board and the camera housing. The thermal element has a coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) of 13 ppm/° C. or less. With the vehicular camera module disposed at a vehicle, circuitry of the vehicular camera module is in electrical connection with a wire harness of the vehicle.
