Systems and techniques for operating system integrated image capture guidance are described herein. An indication may be received of an object to be captured for completing a transaction. Configuration data may be obtained for an image of the object. The configuration data may indicate an orientation of the object in the image. An image of the object may be obtained from an imaging sensor of a device. A discrepancy may be determined between the orientation of the object in the image using the configuration data. Orientation guidance may be generated that indicates repositioning of the object in the image. It may be determined that the discrepancy between the orientation of the object in the image has been eliminated. Capture guidance may be generated for output via the device based on a set of commands determined based on detection of an operating system executing on the device.

An apparatus includes a preprocessing network and a quantized neural network. The preprocessing network may be configured to (a) receive an input, (b) perform a transform operation on the input, and (c) generate an intermediate result in response to the transform operation. The quantized neural network may be configured to (a) receive the intermediate result, (b) perform a plurality of weighted operations on the intermediate result, and (c) generate an output in response to the weighted operations. The quantized neural network is generally adapted to a hardware constraint of an edge device. The weighted operations generally have a quantization loss corresponding to the hardware constraint. The transform operation performed by the preprocessing network is generally configured to provide compensation for the quantization loss.

A set of tags, for the image, are generated from the list of bounding boxes and the list of classification values. A tagged image incorporating the set of tags into the image is presented. In response to a user input, a tag selection identifying a tag of the set of tags is received. View settings are adjusted to focus on a bounding box, from the list of bounding boxes, corresponding to the tag selection. An adjusted image is presented using the view settings.
