Decouplable focal distance controller and indicator

When filming a scene, the focal distance of the video camera is often controlled remotely, and can be switched between manual and autofocus modes. To overcome sudden movements in the lens upon reverting to manual mode, and to avoid disrupting a user's grip on the manual control during autofocus, the traditional distance ring indicator is split into separate controller and indicator components. The controller permits manual input, while the indicator tracks the desired distance. In manual mode, the controller and indicator move in unison. In autofocus mode, the indicator tracks a rangefinder input but the controller is not moved. In a hybrid mode, the controller offsets the rangefinder input. In all cases, the position of the lens moves with the indicator.

An electronic device includes: a device body; a camera module, where the camera module is detachably connected to a device body, when the electronic device is in a first state, the camera module is installed on the device body and the device body controls the camera module to work; and when the electronic device is in a second state, the camera module is separated from the device body and the camera module works independent of the device body or the device body controls the camera module to work; and an elastic protection piece, where the elastic protection piece is detachably connected to the camera module.

Imaging apparatus, accessory apparatus, and communication control method

An imaging apparatus to which an accessory apparatus is attachable includes a camera controller configured to communicate with the accessory apparatus. The camera controller receives first information on a data size receivable by the accessory apparatus, performs a setting for a data size to be transmitted to the accessory apparatus based on the first information, and communicate with the accessory apparatus based on the setting.

Scanning structures via unmanned aerial vehicles

In some examples, an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) may determine, based on a three-dimensional (3D) model including a plurality of points corresponding to a scan target, a scan plan for scanning at least a portion of the scan target. For instance, the scan plan may include a plurality of poses for the UAV to assume to capture images of the scan target. The UAV may capture with one or more image sensors, one or more images of the scan target from one or more poses of the plurality of poses. Further, the UAV may determine an update to the 3D model based at least in part on the one or more images. Additionally, the UAV may update the scan plan based at least in part on the update to the 3D model.

TECHNOLOGIES FOR SOURCE DEGRADATION DETECTION AND AUTO-TUNING OF CAMERAS
20230020182 · 2023-01-19 · ·

Technologies for source degradation and auto-tuning of cameras are disclosed. In one embodiment, a system includes a compute node connected to one or more cameras. The cameras can monitor an environment, such as a manufacturing process in a factory. The compute node may use image processing, such as a machine-learning-based algorithm, to monitor processes. A system integrator may adjust parameters of the camera and/or the algorithm, such as focus, gain, contrast, white balance, etc. The compute node can monitor the system integrator and learn how to adjust parameters in order to improve key performance indicators (KPIs) of the monitored process. In a production environment, the compute node may then automatically adjust parameters of the camera and/or analysis algorithm based on the actions of the system integrator in order to improve performance of the analysis algorithm.

INFORMATION PROCESSING DEVICE, INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER READABLE MEDIUM

An information processing device includes: a determination unit that determines retrieval information used to retrieve at least one photographing recipe including information on photographing; an acquisition unit that acquires relative setting values representing relative values of photographing setting values, corresponding to one of the at least one photographing recipe retrieved on a basis of the retrieval information; and a setting unit that sets a photographing device to perform photographing on a basis of the relative setting values.

Portable camera system

An operationally dependent external camera system for use with a portable computer device. The system includes a portable computer device, a camera, and an operation cord. The camera may include a lens, image sensor, circuit board, microphone, and control unit. The operation cord is coupled between the camera and the portable computer device to continuously transmit both data and electrical power between the portable computer device and the camera thereby making the camera operationally dependent on the portable computer device.
