Methods, systems, and apparatus for camera detection of human activity with co-occurrence are disclosed. A method includes detecting a person in an image captured by a camera; in response to detecting the person in the image, determining optical flow in portions of a first set of images; determining that particular portions of the first set of images satisfy optical flow criteria; in response to determining that the particular portions of the first set of images satisfy optical flow criteria, classifying the particular portions of the first set of images as indicative of human activity; receiving a second set of images captured by the camera after the first set of images; and determining that the second set of images likely shows human activity based on analyzing portions of the second set of images that correspond to the particular portions of the first set of images classified as indicative of human activity.

Methods, endoscopic systems, and non-transitory, machine-readable storage media for adjusting an exposure of an endoscopic system are described. In an embodiment, the methods include emitting light with a light source into a proximal end of an endoscope light pipe; generating received light signals with a photodetector based on light received through the endoscope light pipe by the photodetector; displaying, with a display module, images based on the received light signals having a current image brightness; monitoring the received light signals for changes to the current image brightness; and adjusting a light source illuminance level, and in some embodiments a photodetector gain and exposure time, based on the current image brightness to maintain a target image brightness of the display module. In an embodiment, a brightness adjustment step size is less than a just-noticeable difference in brightness of an eye and is directly proportional to the current image brightness.

The display screen is light-pervious at only one side. The camera and the fill light lamp are arranged on the housing. An image processing chip and the controller are arranged between the display screen and the housing. When ambient brightness is below a preset brightness value, the camera and the fill light lamp are activated, the camera captures images of side and rear scenes of the vehicle and generates an optical signal, the image processing chip, based on the optical signal, outputs an enhanced image on the display screen for better driving safety. A vehicle including the rearview mirror system is also disclosed.
