An imaging device (1) according to an embodiment includes: an imaging unit (10) that includes a pixel array (110) including a plurality of pixel groups each including N×N pixels (100) (N is an integer of 2 or more), and outputs a pixel signal read from each pixel; and a switching unit (14) that switches a reading mode in which the pixel signal is read from each of the pixels by the imaging unit, in which the switching unit switches the reading mode between an addition mode in which the pixel signals read from the N×N pixels included in the pixel group are added to form one pixel signal and an individual mode in which each of the pixel signals read from the N×N pixels included in the pixel group is individually output.
DEPTH SENSOR AND IMAGE SIGNAL PROCESSOR FOR CHANGING BINNING MODE
A depth sensor for measuring a distance to an object and an image signal processor configured to change a binning mode based on ambient light are provided. A method for operating a depth sensor for measuring a distance to an object includes outputting a pixel signal from at least one depth pixel included in a pixel array, generating ambient light information based on an intensity of ambient light outside the depth sensor, the intensity of the ambient light being measured using the pixel signal, and setting a binning mode of the depth sensor to an analog binning mode or a digital binning mode based on the ambient light parameter value.
ANALOG-TO-DIGITAL CONVERTER FOR SEPARATELY APPLYING A BIAS VOLTAGE DEPENDING ON AN OPERATION MODE, AND AN IMAGE SENSOR INCLUDING THE SAME
An image sensor supporting a full resolution mode and a crop mode, the image sensor including: a pixel array including a plurality of pixels configured to generate a pixel signal by sensing an object; an analog-to-digital converter configured to convert the pixel signal into a digital signal and including a plurality of metal lines; a bias generator configured to apply a bias voltage to the plurality of metal lines; and a bias controller including: a first transistor configured to activate all of the plurality of metal lines based on a first control signal; and a second transistor configured to activate a first metal line for the crop mode among the plurality of metal lines based on a second control signal.
IMAGING APPARATUS, IMAGE DATA PROCESSING METHOD OF IMAGING APPARATUS, AND PROGRAM
An imaging apparatus includes a storage portion that stores captured image data obtained by imaging a subject by an imaging element and is incorporated in the imaging element, an output portion that is incorporated in the imaging element, and a plurality of signal processing portions that are disposed outside the imaging element, in which the output portion includes a plurality of output lines each disposed in correspondence with each of the plurality of signal processing portions and outputs each of a plurality of pieces of image data into which the captured image data stored in the storage portion is divided, to a corresponding signal processing portion among the plurality of signal processing portions from the plurality of output lines, and any of the plurality of signal processing portions combines the plurality of pieces of image data.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR CONTROLLING AN IMAGE SENSOR
Systems and techniques are described for imaging. An imaging system includes an image sensor with a plurality of photodetectors, grouped into a first group of photodetectors and a second group of photodetectors. The imaging system can reset its image sensor. The imaging system exposes its image sensor to light from a scene. The plurality of photodetectors convert the light into charge. The imaging system stores analog photodetector signals corresponding to the charge from each the photodetectors. The imaging system reads first digital pixel data from a first subset of the analog photodetector signals corresponding to the first group of photodetectors without reading second digital pixel data from a second subset of the analog photodetector signals corresponding to the second group of photodetectors. The imaging system generates an image of the scene using the first digital pixel data.
Apparatus having hybrid monochrome and color image sensor array
There is provided in one embodiment an apparatus having an image sensor array. In one embodiment, the image sensor array can include monochrome pixels and color sensitive pixels. The monochrome pixels can be pixels without wavelength selective color filter elements. The color sensitive pixels can include wavelength selective color filter elements.
Imaging apparatus and electronic equipment
An imaging apparatus and electronic equipment configured for reduced power consumption are disclosed. In one example, an imaging apparatus includes a pixel array unit including a first pixel portion and a second pixel portion different from the first pixel portion. Each of the first pixel portion and the second pixel portion includes a first photoelectric conversion unit and a second photoelectric conversion unit adjacent to the first photoelectric conversion unit. The pixel array unit includes a first drive line connected to the first photoelectric conversion unit of the first pixel portion and the second pixel portion, a second drive line connected to the second photoelectric conversion unit of the first pixel portion, and a third drive line connected to the second photoelectric conversion unit of the second pixel portion. The t technology can, for example, be applied in a CMOS image sensor having pixels for phase difference detection.
Reception apparatus and transmission apparatus
Provided is a reception apparatus that includes an information processing section configured to generate an image at least either in a first mode for reading out a whole captured region or in a second mode for reading out a partial region in the captured region. At the time of readout in the second mode, the image processing section varies a readout rate depending on the region.
SOLID-STATE IMAGING APPARATUS
A solid-state imaging apparatus includes: an imaging section that acquires image data; and a control section that changes time of reading out the image data in accordance with time of DNN processing on the image data.
