Sliding exercise device with a plurality of tracks
The exercise device includes an elevated base, including a single track, diverging forwardly into a plurality of elevated arms, each including an elongated track member disposed between opposing first and second ends such that the first end is proximal to a forward end of the elevated base. An elevated beam provided with a stationary knee support protrudes rearwardly from the elevated base. A single slider including a steering mechanism is capable of being slidably disposed on the single track and selectively disposed onto an elongated track member of any one of the plurality of elevated arms. Preferably, a plurality of legs are used to elevate the plurality of elevated arms, elevated base and elevated beam from a supporting surface.
Ski Exercising Apparatus
A ski exercising apparatus has a rigid frame with a set of two parallel, arcuate rails, a wheeled carriage riding on the rails, a set of two articulated footpads mounted side-by-side on the wheeled carriage, and two sets of powerbands arranged parallel with a lengthwise centerline of the apparatus, spaced apart by at least one-half of the width of the apparatus, the powerbands exerting force on the wheeled carriage to center the carriage on the arcuate rails.
Crawl simulation exercise and stretching machine
A crawling simulation exercise and stretching machine having left and right horizontally oriented curved tracks suspended between a forward support frame and a rearward support frame, left and right leg supports assemblies movably mounted on the curved tracks and each having a foot platform and shin pads for supporting a user's legs, left and right arm supports assemblies pivotally mounted on the forward support frame and each having a lever and handle for supporting a user's arms, a rocker arm assembly located central to the leg supports assemblies and the arm supports assemblies, and multiple linkage assemblies operably connecting the leg supports assemblies and the arm supports assemblies to the rocker arm assembly such that the leg supports assemblies and the arm supports assemblies cooperate to create a reciprocating arcing motion of the user's arms and legs to simulate a crawling exercise or stretching motion.
Treadmill with intermediate member
A manually powered treadmill includes a front rotatable element and a rear rotatable element coupled to a frame; a bearing assembly at least partially supporting one of the front or rear rotatable elements; and a running belt disposed about the front and rear rotatable elements. The bearing assembly includes a predefined low viscosity bearing fluid. The running belt defines a non-planar running surface. The running belt includes a first endless belt and a plurality of slats, each slat having a first side and a second side and coupled to the first endless belt. Each slat in the plurality of slats defines at least one aperture, and the at least one aperture is structured to receive a fastener to facilitate coupling to the first endless belt.
Elliptical stepper
An elliptical stepper includes a base, a damping device mounted on the base, two crank devices respectively laterally mounted to two opposite sides of the damping device. Each crank device has a stepping device mounted thereon and each stepping device has a roller set mounted to a bottom thereof, wherein the roller set is universally rolled relative to a corresponding one of the two stepping device. The base includes two opposite sides each having a guiding structure disposed thereon. Each guiding structure includes at least one rail having a front end outwardly extending relative to a center line of the base. Each roller set is moved along a corresponding one of the two guiding structures such that each stepping device provides a wiggling effect when moved along an elliptical route.
Apparatus for physical exercise
An apparatus for physical exercise, more particularly, a ramp-like equipment which is provided with a frame that supports U-shaped concave tracks on which a cart on wheels slides so that it can move up and down, the upper portion of which is provided with a structure composed of stainless steel bars that may be arranged for different supports on which the user is supported and, with the aid of a number of accessories such as belts and handles, he/she can practice different exercises, thus making it possible to apply same to any fitness equipment designed for the fitness and health market.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR RESTORING VOLUNTARY CONTROL OF LOCOMOTION IN NEUROMOTOR IMPAIRMENTS
It is disclosed an apparatus for restoring voluntary control of locomotion in a subject suffering from a neuromotor impairment comprising a multidirectional trunk support system and a device for epidural electrical stimulation. The robotic interface is capable of evaluating, enabling and training motor pattern generation and balance across a variety of natural walking behaviors in subjects with neuromotor impairments. Optionally, pharmacological cocktails can be administered to enhance rehabilitation results. It is also disclosed a method for the evaluation, enablement and training of a subject suffering from neuromotor impairments by combining robotically assisted evaluation tools with sophisticated neurobiomechanical and statistical analyses. A method for the rehabilitation (by this term also comprising restoring voluntary control of locomotion) of a subject suffering from a neuromotor impairment in particular partial or total paralysis of limbs, is also disclosed.
Abdominal exercise apparatus
An abdominal exercise apparatus can include a track, at least one rolling member, a cart, and a base. The track can extend between first and second ends. The rolling member can be moveable along the track. The cart can support the rolling member for the movement along the track and be grasped by the user during exercise. The base can be engaged proximate to the first end and have a surface configured to receive the knees of the user during exercise. The second end can be pivotally movable about the base over an arcuate range by the user while exercising during the rectilinear and rolling movement along the track by the at least one rolling member. The apparatus can also include a structure such as a helical spring for resisting pivotal movement that is elastically deformable.
Multi-purpose abdominal and core exercise machine
A multi-purpose abdominal and core exercising machine is an apparatus that allows a user to exercise their abdominal muscles through a variety of guided movements. The apparatus includes an incline-adjustable frame, a track, a swiveling seat, a height-adjustable headrest, a first graspable pole, a second graspable pole, and a backrest. The track is mounted onto the incline-adjustable frame. The backrest and the swiveling seat supports the user's body as the backrest slides along the track and the swiveling seat is terminally fixed to the track. The height-adjustable headrest is mounted between the two grasping poles. The proximal end for each grasping pole is rotatably connected to the backrest, which allows the user to hold the distal end for each grasping pole. Pulling the grasping poles towards the user's abdomen allows for a movement by the apparatus to exercise the user's abdominal muscles.
