An information processing apparatus including a plurality of installed application programs activates, when a first application program is executed for using data, a second application program used to obtain the data from an external apparatus. A process of connection to the external apparatus is executed by executing the second application program, and a data format and attribute information stored in the external apparatus are obtained from the external apparatus by executing the second application program. The attribute information on data stored in the external apparatus is displayed on a screen of the second application program such that a result of a determination as to whether the data is usable by the first application program is recognizable based on a format stored in the memory and a format obtained from the external apparatus by executing the second application program.

An electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes a housing, a wireless communication circuit, a camera configured to generate raw image data, at least one processor, and a memory. The memory stores instructions configured, when executed, to enable the processor to process first image data corresponding to raw image data via a first algorithm and generate second image data, process the first image data or the second image data via a second algorithm and generate third image data, the second algorithm being different from the first algorithm, generate a first file including the second image data and the third image data, receive priority information from an external electronic device via the wireless communication circuit, generate a second file including the second image data and the third image data based on the priority information, and transmit the second file via the wireless communication circuit to the external electronic device.

An image forming system and an image forming method for parsing instant messaging information are provided. The system includes a receiver for receiving instant messaging information, a parser for determining a data type of the instant messaging information, a processor for processing the instant messaging information based on the determined data type and converting the instant messaging information into image information recognizable and printable by the image forming device, and an imager for controlling the image forming device to print the image information. The processor includes an imbedded browser, and when the data type is website link, the embedded browser acquires related content corresponding to the link, the processor converts the related content into image information recognizable and printable by the image forming device. The image information is sent to the imager.

A disclosed managing apparatus and image forming apparatus management system ensure confidentiality of information in an image forming apparatus while usability is maintained. An image forming apparatus acquires IC card identifying information with an IC card reader. A management server acquires a user ID associated with the acquired IC card identifying information and use limit information concerning use of the image forming apparatus. A process is performed in the image forming apparatus in accordance with the use limit information.

This invention relates to an imaging apparatus and an imaging method for supplying an optimum amount of image data to another apparatus. When a PDA 91 has a maximum transfer rate of 1.5 Mbps, a mobile phone 1 determines that a maximum speed of communication with the PDA 91 is low, reduces accordingly the amount of moving image data captured by a CCD of the mobile phone, and supplies the captured moving image data to the PDA 91. The PDA 91 displays a low-quality moving image 93 on its display unit. When the PDA 91 has a maximum transfer rate of 480 Mbps, the CPU of the mobile phone leaves unchanged the amount of moving picture data captured by the CCD and supplies the captured moving image data to the PDA 91. The PDA 91 then displays a high-quality moving image 94 on the display unit. This invention applies advantageously to digital cameras.

The image processing device includes: a storage part in which multiple types of the screen data corresponding to respective screen sizes are stored; a screen information obtaining part that obtains information relating to the screen size of the display part; a screen data selecting part that selects the screen data corresponding to the screen size smaller than the screen size of the display part from among the multiple types of the screen data based on the information obtained by the screen information obtaining part; and an output part that outputs the screen data selected by the screen data selecting part to the terminal device.
