A method performed by a data processing apparatus and an image forming apparatus includes transmitting, by the data processing apparatus, an execution instruction for a job to the image forming apparatus, generating, by the image forming apparatus, an authentication code corresponding to the transmitted execution instruction and displaying the authentication code or information representing the encrypted authentication code on a display unit of the image forming apparatus, transmitting, by the data processing apparatus, an authentication code to the image forming apparatus, and executing, by the image forming apparatus, a job corresponding to the transmitted execution instruction in a case where a predetermined condition is determined to be satisfied based on the transmitted authentication code and the generated authentication code.

A shooting method includes: in a state in which a remote connection for sharing a shooting preview interface is established with the second terminal, receiving and displaying a first preview interface of the second terminal sent by the second terminal; receiving a first input performed by a user; and outputting first target shooting data in response to the first input, where the first target shooting data includes partial or all image information of the first preview interface, and the first target shooting data is a video or an image.

An approach is provided for managing a usage of a camera. Based on a second location of the camera being determined to match a first location associated incidents of camera usage that caused harm, the camera is determined to be at a location of concern. The user is notified about the location of concern by a rule-specified, highlighted boundary in a pre-captured first image on the camera display. A person in a pre-captured second image is determined to be within the boundary. The usage of the camera by the user is determined to likely cause a danger to the person. Based on the person being within the boundary and the usage of the camera being likely to cause the danger, a functionality of the camera is disabled so that the camera is not able to capture an image.

An apparatus that causes a device to print an image includes at least one processor, and a display screen. A state of the apparatus is changed from a first state to a second state when an image is settled as a print target by a user, the first state being a state in which the at least one processor does not cause the device to print the image even if the apparatus is put close to the device, and the second state being a state in which the at least one processor can cause the device to print the image if the apparatus is put close to the device. After the apparatus in the second state performs a short distance wireless communication with the device, the device prints the image.

A team photographing method can be applied to terminals. The terminals can include a main terminal and at least one member terminal. The method includes: forming a team including the main terminal and the at least one member terminal based on a team photographing instruction initiated by the main terminal; based on a target object to be photographed determined by the main terminal, determining the target object to be photographed of the at least one member terminal; and controlling, by the main terminal, the main terminal and the at least one member terminal to photograph the target object to be photographed cooperatively.

For example, according to one embodiment, while a GPIO signal for activating the printer in advance is generated in response to reception of print data, the GPIO assert setting is disabled if a network to which the printer is connected has a low security strength.

A non-transitory computer-readable recording medium stores computer-readable instructions, when executed by a processor of an information processing apparatus, causing the information processing apparatus to perform: receiving a parameter from a first other program different from the program; in response to receiving the parameter from the first other program, transmitting a scan execution command including the received parameter to a scanner through a communication interface of the information processing apparatus, the parameter being indicative of a setting value that is set for executing scan processing on the scanner; receiving mode selection information from a second other program different from the program and from the first other program; and in response to receiving the mode selection information from the second other program, converting the received mode selection information into a parameter, and transmitting a scan execution command including the converted parameter to the scanner through the communication interface.
