A system and method for designing and printing fantasy draft board posters using a client computer communicating with a host computer. The host computer provides a design interface to a user, and the user selects a template design. The template design requires a user to input a variety of client-defined material with a header, and select the number of teams and rounds. The client-defined material is displayed actively on a scratch pad image, and determines the dimensions of the final format of the draft board poster. The final print image file for the poster is then created and printed.

Information on printer maintenance or an updating of software is notified without giving uncomfortable feeling to a user by an unintentional change of screen displays. The invention comprises an application activating unit which issues an application binding command in response to a print instruction of a data generated by an application executed by a mobile, an additional information acquiring unit which acquires an additional information according to a predetermined information acquiring command included in the application binding command when a print result information is acquired from the printer, and an information providing unit which provides the mobile with the additional information in addition to the print result information. The present invention is a mobile terminal capable of communicating with an image forming apparatus and the mobile terminal includes: an image capturing unit; an instruction unit configured to transmit discharge instructions to discharge a document to the image forming apparatus in which the document is set in a sheet feed unit; a state acquisition unit configured to acquire a state of the image forming apparatus by communicating with the image forming apparatus; and an image capturing instruction unit configured to detect timing at which the image forming apparatus discharges the document based on the state of the image forming apparatus acquired by the state acquisition unit and to give instructions to capture an image of the document to the image capturing unit at the timing.

An image processing apparatus includes an input section for inputting image data, and an image processing section for discriminating a marking area out of image data and generating image data of fill-in-blank questions with the marking area converted to a blank answer field. An apparatus and method for saving power in an office machine having a display panel are provided. The method comprises setting the apparatus in an operation standby mode, detecting whether an error exists in the apparatus and turning on the display panel to display the error thereon when the error is detected. Furthermore, the apparatus keeps the display panel in an off state when the error is not detected. Thus, the exemplary embodiments of the present invention provide a power saving method of an office machine which prevents unnecessary power consumption during an operation of an office machine having a display panel.

A method is disclosed for performing a user action to be applied on a digital item represented by a digital object displayable on a user interface touch screen of an electronic system. The electronic system is configured to apply the user action upon the digital item by means of an activation of a user operable element displayable on the user interface touch screen. The method includes displaying the digital object on the user interface touch screen, selecting the digital object, displaying a user operable element on the user interface touch screen, receiving an activation of the user operable element, executing the user action upon the digital item, showing an animation of a gesture to the digital object simultaneously with the execution of the user action upon the digital item, which gesture leads, when applied to the digital object, to execution of the user action upon the digital item.

An image forming apparatus comprises a printing module, a transporting mechanism and a sorting module. The printing module prints data on media in order. The transporting mechanism transports the media past the printing module. The sorting module is disposed downstream of the transporting mechanism, and comprises an output mechanism, a rack and a driving pinion. The output mechanism transports the media out in a first direction. The rack is connected to the output mechanism. The driving pinion meshing with the rack drives the rack and the output mechanism to reciprocate in a second direction, different from the first direction, to sort the media into stacks. Thus, the sorting function can be achieved without providing a larger space and moving a discharge tray, and this is advantageous to the miniaturization of the image forming apparatus.

In an example implementation, a method of providing image registration information in a digital printing press includes imaging a printed page on an impression drum of a digital printing press, determining image registration information from printed content on the page, and displaying a graphical visualization of the image registration information on a user interface screen of the digital printing press.
