Method for identifying print control elements for quality data acquisition
A method for identifying print control elements for quality data acquisition includes encoding position information in a human-readable identification code, encoding specific print job information and the human-readable identification code in a machine-readable data code, positioning the codes alongside their associated print control element on a printing substrate, photographing the printed print control element and adjacent machine-readable data code using information from adjacent identification code, and processing data with a mobile communication device having a camera function and communications interface. Image data produced are exporting to a support computer via the communications interface. Machine-readable data code are decoded, image data on the computer are analyzed using information obtained from decoded machine-readable data code, the results of analysis are transmitted from the computer to the mobile communication device, and erroneous settings, found by image analysis, in a printing press producing printed products, are corrected.
Systems and methods for generating images with specific orientations
Methods and associated systems for generating images with objects of interests positioned at pre-determined locations and in specific orientations (e.g., vertical to the horizon) are disclosed. The method includes generating a preview image by an image component and identifying an object of interest in the preview image. The system then determines a desirable view angle at least based on an orientation of the object of interest. The system generates an original image and a current dip angle based on a measurement performed by a tilt sensor. The system calculates an angle of rotation based on the current dip angle and the desirable view angle. The system then edits or adjusts the original image to form an edited or adjusted image that can be presented to a user.
SENSOR BLOCK
Embodiments of the present disclosure include apparatuses and methods for sensor blocking. In a number of embodiments, a method can include operating a sensor block of an apparatus in a first mode to allow a sensor to receive inputs, and operating the sensor block in a second mode to inhibit the sensor from receiving the inputs. A sensor block can be used to prevent a sensor, such as an image sensor, from receiving an input, such as a light source input, to capture image data. A sensor block can be used to prevent a sensor from capturing image data even when an application causing to the sensor to operate, such as when applications have access to the sensor, but the user of a device is unaware that an application is using the sensor. The sensor block can be used to prevent the sensor from capturing useful images and the sensor can only capture a black image of the sensor block and not the surroundings of the device.
METHOD OF MAPPING SOURCE COLORS OF AN IMAGE USING A LUT HAVING COLORS OUTSIDE A SOURCE COLOR GAMUT
According to this method, the mapping color LUT has input colors that sample not only a source color gamut (included in an input encoding color space in which inputs colors of this LUT are encoded) but also a portion of the input encoding color space which is not included in the source color gamut. Preferably, this color LUT further includes output colors located outside the target color gamut. Accuracy of the mapping is improved, notably for source colors located near the boundary of the source color gamut.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR INITIATING A LIVE VIDEO STREAM TRANSMISSION
An apparatus, system, and method allow a user to initiate a live stream that includes retrospectively captured images. Initiating the live stream includes providing provisional data that includes retrospectively captured images to a wireless radio.
Systems and methods for mobile image capture and processing of checks
Techniques for processing an image of a check captured using a mobile device are provided. The check image is processed to determine whether the check can be deposited at a bank via a mobile deposit process. The system can identify regions of the check—such as the endorsement area—to determine if the check has been properly endorsed. The system can be implemented on a mobile device and/or a server, where the mobile device routes the check image to the server for processing. If the check cannot be deposited, a rejection is forwarded in real time to the mobile device for possible correction.
Digital camera processing system
A digital camera processing system with software to manage taking photos with a digital camera. Camera software controls the digital camera. A downloaded software component controls the digital camera software and causes a handheld mobile device to perform operations. The operations may include instructing a user to have the digital camera take photos of a check: displaying an instruction on a display of the handheld mobile device to assist the user in having the digital camera take the photos; or assisting the user as to an orientation for taking the photos with the digital camera. The digital camera processing system may generate a log file including a bi-tonal image formatted as a TIFF image.
Light management for image and data control
Optical devices and cognitive prosthetics based on novel components for enhanced human vision, selective video/television display, digital processing and/or unique image analysis to modify the image that a user sees and significantly improve the perception of that user are disclosed. What the user sees is responsive to specific perceptual and informational needs of the user in real time. Devices from the parent patents are herein made both more useful in practical day-to-day use and are more widely applicable to improving the ability of a user to perceive visual stimuli.
System and method for annotating images
A method and system for electronically annotating an image, or preferably, specific portions of an image, with information. In one aspect, a user may generate an image, annotate the image, and upload or otherwise disseminate the annotated image to a web page or the like. Annotations are provided as labels that provide information about the image or items therein. Further users may access the labels to access the information. The labels further enable searching and contextual advertising.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR CORRECTING TILT OF SUBJECT OCUURED IN PHOTOGRAPHING, MOBILE TERMINAL, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a method and an apparatus for correcting a tilt of a subject occurred in photographing, as well as a mobile terminal and a computer storage medium. The method includes: after it is detected by a mobile terminal that the subject enters a viewfinder interface, identifying a boundary of a profile of the subject to obtain the profile of the subject; analyzing the profile of the subject to determine whether the subject is tilted; and performing a process for straightening and photographing on the subject to obtain a picture in which the subject is straightened if the subject is determined to be tilted.
