A data collection apparatus includes a connecting unit, a storing unit, and a controller. An electronic device, such as a digital camera, includes a deletion mode whereby a camera/electronic device user can delete captured images or data files that have already been transferred in order to make room in the electronic device or digital camera memory for capturing further images. In one embodiment, a digital camera keeps track of which images have already been transferred to an external storage device and presents those to the user as potential images to be deleted. In another embodiment, the user is presented with a delete all transferred images which when selected deletes all the captured images that have already been transferred. In still another embodiment, deletion criteria are used to prioritize which images are deleted first.

The processor is configured to store captured image data in a first buffer and acquire access to the captured image data in the first buffer when the captured image data is available for processing. The processor is also configured to execute a first group of operations in a processing pipeline, each of which processes the captured image data accessed from the first buffer and return the first buffer for storing next captured image data when a last operation of the first group of operations executes.

A server may generate and cache frames for a cinematic production while creating frame descriptors that are placed in the catalogue. A synchronization process synchronizes the catalogue with one or more clients. Using the catalogue, the client is able to select desired frames for viewing before frames are received at the client from the server. The server may receive a request for frames from the client, where the request includes an identifier component of the frame descriptor in the catalogue. The requested frames are returned by the server to the client for display at the client.

The memory device further comprises corrective information to correct the second set of difference nodes of the reconstructed difference color table.
