Information processing apparatus, product, and method wherein a print from one image forming apparatus is read by another and a screen is generated including diagnostic results and image forming apparatus information
An information processing apparatus includes a processor configured to: acquire a result of diagnosis of one image forming apparatus made on a basis of a result of reading of a recording medium on which an image has been formed by the one image forming apparatus and that has been read by another image forming apparatus having an image reading function; acquire other apparatus information, which is information concerning the other image forming apparatus; and generate a screen including both of the result of the diagnosis and the other apparatus information.
IMAGE FORMING DEVICE, INFORMATION PROCESSING DEVICE, COMPUTER-READABLE MEDIUM, AND IMAGE FORMING METHOD
An image forming device includes a receiving unit and a determining unit. The receiving unit is configured to receive an image to be printed. The determining unit is configured to determine whether the image received by the receiving unit complies with a condition predetermined to be satisfied for printing.
Image forming apparatus and image formation method
An image forming apparatus includes a communication interface, a controller, and an image forming section. The communication interface acquires an Internet Protocol (IP) address through a Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) server function of a network. The controller causes the image forming apparatus to operate in a first mode based on acquisition of the IP address, and causes the image forming apparatus to operate in a second mode until the IP address is acquired. The image forming section forms an image on an image formation medium in a plurality of modes including a network mode in which the image is formed based on an image formation job acquired through the network. In the second operation mode, operation of the image forming section in the network mode is limited.
System and method for alignment of scan documents
A system and method for aligning documents for scanning includes a multifunction peripheral with a controller having a processor and associated memory. The controller issues instructions controlling operation of a scanner. A tangible document is placed on a surface of a scanner platen, and a sensor determines its location relative to the platen. An optimal position of the document relative to the platen is determined. The processor then generates a graphical rendering on an associated display indicative of a directed repositioning of the document on the platen in accordance with a determined optimal position of the document relative to the platen.
Image test apparatus, image forming system and recording medium
An image test apparatus includes an image reader which reads paper on which an image is formed from an image formed surface side to acquire test image data including an entire region of the paper, and a hardware processor which detects a defect in the test image data by comparing the test image data acquired by the image reader with correct image data, the hardware processor detecting a defect in the test image data in a region where the test image data overlaps with the correct image data after aligning positions of the test image data and the correct image data by aligning positions of images to each other.
IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS, METHOD OF CONTROLLING IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
Show-through is suitably removed while an image, such as a tag or highlighter, on a first surface is prevented from being removed. A luminance value of a pixel of a target region is increased based on a first correction amount in a case where the pixel is not a pixel of a halftone dot region and a value specified based on a saturation of the pixel of the target region is less than a predetermined value, or a luminance value of the pixel is increased based on a second correction amount less than the first correction amount in a case where the pixel is not a pixel of the halftone dot region and the value specified based on the saturation of the pixel of the target region is greater than or equal to the predetermined value.
Sharing input and output devices in networked systems
A technique for sharing a peripheral device among a group of systems comprises capturing a set of images of a user, and processing the set of images of the user to determine a user directive to designate a first system in the group as an owner of a peripheral device of a second system in the group. If the peripheral device is an input device, the technique further comprises redirecting, responsive to the user directive, from the second system to the first system, data entered using the input device of the second system. If the peripheral device is an output device, the technique further comprises forwarding, responsive to the user directive, from the first system to the second system, data for processing by the output device of the second system. In an embodiment, the user directive is in the form of the user's eye gaze directed at a camera.
Image processing apparatus, image processing method, and recording medium to correct characteristic amount of target pixel using brightness at two pixels in set target area
A target area of image data of a scanned document is set, in which the target area has a predetermined size and a target pixel, characteristic amounts indicating the brightness at two pixels among the plurality of pixels included in the set target area are obtained, a determination is made on whether or not the difference between the obtained characteristic amounts indicating the brightness is higher than a threshold, a brightness correction amount is decided based on a characteristic amount indicating the brightness of the target pixel and the result of the determination, and the brightness characteristic amount indicating the brightness of the target pixel is corrected based on the decided correction amount.
Network printer detection and authentication for managed device deployment
Disclosed are various examples for network printer detection and authentication for managed device deployment. In one example, a computing environment can access a listing of network printers received from a printer discovery service executed in an enterprise device in an intranet behind a firewall. A user group associated with a client device enrolled with a management service can be identified as well as at least one of the network printers assigned to the user group. The client device can be remotely configured to access the at least one of the network printers assigned to the user group.
