An information processing apparatus, to which a facsimile device is communicably connected, includes an input device to receive operation of a user, a memory, and a hardware processor controlling the facsimile device to fax print data. The hardware processor is configured to: cause a display device to display a first setting screen for making settings based on operation received by the input device; cause the display device to display a preview screen representing an output image of fax transmission based on the settings made on the first setting screen; store, in the memory, setting values being input via the first setting screen; and cause the display device to display, when a cancellation operation of fax transmission is performed on the preview screen, a second setting screen corresponding to the first setting screen on which at least part of the setting values stored in the memory have been displayed.

An image forming apparatus includes a communication interface, a controller, and an image forming section. The communication interface acquires an Internet Protocol (IP) address through a Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) server function of a network. The controller causes the image forming apparatus to operate in a first mode based on acquisition of the IP address, and causes the image forming apparatus to operate in a second mode until the IP address is acquired. The image forming section forms an image on an image formation medium in a plurality of modes including a network mode in which the image is formed based on an image formation job acquired through the network. In the second operation mode, operation of the image forming section in the network mode is limited.

Embodiments of systems and methods for the sending, delivery and receiving of faxes are disclosed herein. In particular, certain embodiments include a fax connector that may be deployed at a user's site, and a faxing system that may be deployed remotely from the user's site. The fax connector can be accessed at the user's site over a computer based network in order to perform functions associated with faxing, including sending, receiving and obtaining status on faxes. The fax connector deployed at the user's site communicates with the remotely deployed faxing system to send, receive, obtain status on, or perform other functions associated with, faxing.

An image forming apparatus transmits a fax document using a cloud server which stores fax communication history information with respect to fax numbers. The image forming apparatus includes an image forming job performer to perform a fax function, a communicator to communicate with the cloud server, and a controller to request the cloud server for fax transmission setting information corresponding to a fax number of another image forming apparatus, receive a request result from the cloud server in response to the request, and transmit a fax document to the another image forming apparatus by applying, to the image forming job performer, a fax transmission setting based on the received request result.

The Remote FAX Interconnect known as etherFAX is a system and method that allows for the reception and delivery of information to or from one or more facsimile systems using Internet/web based communication protocols such as HTTP(S) as the transport between a cooperating facsimile capable application or hardware and the remotely accessible etherFAX services.

An image forming apparatus includes a display, a communication unit, and a controller. Information is displayed on the display. The communication unit performs communication with a first display apparatus, which is an external apparatus. The controller performs control, if an error occurs during an image forming process, in such a manner that different error information is displayed on the display and on the first display apparatus on the basis of a communication status with the first display apparatus and statuses of operations performed by a user of the first display apparatus and a user of the image forming apparatus.

An electronic apparatus includes a storage device, an image reading device, and a controller. The controller detects, from a text included in an image of a document read by the image reading device, a first prescribed word, extracts a text portion of a predetermined length continuous before or after the first prescribed word detected, calculates, by keyword groups stored in the storage device, a number representing matching between the keyword belonging to a keyword group and a character string included in the text portion extracted, reads out from the storage device an address associated with the keyword group having a largest number in the number representing the matching, and creates an e-mail a destination address of which is the address read out.

An image forming apparatus and a control method of an image forming apparatus which offers high convenience are described. An image forming section forms a toner image in a print medium, and fixes the toner image by a heated fixing device. A power circuit supplies power to the image forming section to heat the fixing device. A communication interface receives a facsimile call signal and a facsimile image signal. A system controller controls the image forming section and the power circuit such that, when the facsimile call signal and the facsimile image signal are received, the image forming section and the power circuit are controlled to form an image by the image forming section on the basis of the facsimile image signal and, when the facsimile call signal is received and the facsimile image signal is not received, the power circuit supplies power to the image forming section to heat the fixing device.

Embodiments of systems and methods for the sending, delivery and receiving of faxes are disclosed herein. The fax connector can be accessed at the user's site over a computer based network in order to perform functions associated with faxing, including sending, receiving and obtaining status on faxes. The fax connector deployed at the user's site communicates with the remotely deployed faxing system to send, receive, obtain status on, or perform other functions associated with, faxing.

An image forming apparatus includes a document reader, a storage for storing image data, an image output unit and a control unit. The control unit includes: a function setup controller for setting up the image output conditions of output images; and a control-unit side controller having a function of displaying a function setup screen corresponding to the function setup controller, on a display panel. The function setup controller has an additional input mode having a function of reading documents a multiple number of times to form multiple sheaves of documents. The additional input mode includes: an individual setup function of setting up individual image output conditions for each sheaf of documents and an all-in setup function of setting up identical image output conditions for all sheaves of documents. When the additional input mode is set up, the control unit-side controller offers a display of a setup change suggestion of the image output conditions for the next input on the display screen at the stage where the first image data input has been completed.
