Image processing apparatuses have a unit for registering settings in applications or a unit for registering application settings on a portal screen, but do not allow these units to function in a coordinated manner. For example, if a user who frequently uses a certain application registers settings of the application, the settings may also be useful to other users. However, users who mainly use their own portal screens cannot invoke the settings. Settings of an application registered as a shared custom button are automatically registered as frequently used settings in the application. Similarly, settings registered as frequently used settings in an application are automatically registered as a shared custom button.

In a printing system capable of supplying a sheet of a job having undergone print processing by the printing unit of a printing apparatus to a post-processing unit capable of executing at least a specific type of post-processing among a plurality of types of post-processes, when the target job requires the specific type of post-processing, the printing apparatus is inhibited from executing print processing of the job without explicitly determining a sheet necessary for the print processing of the job by a user using a user interface unit. When the target job does not require the specific type of post-processing, the printing apparatus is permitted to execute print processing of the job without explicitly determining a sheet necessary for the print processing of the job by the user using the user interface unit.

A transmitting apparatus includes a communication interface that transmits data according to a transmission job, and a controller having one or more processors which executes instructions stored in one or more memories. The controller is configured to set a setting of outputting of a transmission report indicating a transmission result of the transmission job as a device setting of the apparatus, set the setting of outputting of the transmission report as a setting of the transmission job, and set whether or not to accept the setting of outputting of the transmission report of the transmission job as the device setting of the apparatus.

The information processing apparatus controls whether or not to receive setting for a first application from a different apparatus and use the received setting for the first application, in accordance with a type of a screen being displayed on the display unit.

An image forming apparatus includes a communication unit configured to communicate with an external controller, a reception unit configured to receive, in a case where a predetermined error related to the communication occurs, log information on the predetermined error from the external controller, and a storage control unit configured to store, in a storage unit of the image forming apparatus, the log information received from the external controller and log information indicating an operation of the image forming apparatus corresponding to a timing at which the predetermined error has occurred.

According to the present disclosure, there is provided an image forming apparatus including an operation device, one or more memories, and one or more processors that execute instructions to receive an instruction for registering a document in the one or more memories, register the document according to the instruction in the one or more memories, and control the operation device such that a function selection screen including a button for instructing execution of printing of the registered document is displayed, in which if the instruction received by a reception unit includes information indicating a printing valid period of the document according to the instruction, a button for instructing execution of printing of the document according to the instruction is displayed as being valid on the function selection screen in the printing valid period.
