Exercise system for exercising oblique muscles and method of using the system
An exercise system for exercising a body's oblique muscle group relies upon a wheel mechanism having an outer wheel portion arranged at a first radial distance and an inner wheel portion arranged at a second radial distance, where the outer and inner wheel parts include respective sets of handgrips. A weight system is arranged to be coupled to and decoupled from the wheel mechanism. A coupling mechanism couples the weight system to and decouples the weight system from the wheel mechanism, in a first circumferential direction, or in a second circumferential direction. The hand grips allow a user to grasp the wheel mechanism and turn it in the first or the second circumferential directions against a respective force that the wheel mechanism is turned against that is defined by the aggregate selected weight when coupled to the wheel mechanism, in one of the first and second circumferential directions.
Unsupported Pelvic / Spine, Third Class Lever Exercise System and Method
The invention is embodied in an exercise system that can allow its user to counterbalance the effects associated with a predominantly sedentary lifestyle though a fitness device that comprises a combination of (a) supporting the lower body in a manner that permits a user's upper body to act as a third class lever with the user's hips operating as fulcrum and (b) engaging in resistance exercises with the upper body in a horizontal position, unsupported above the greater trochanter.
Chair Having Swing Motion Function and Swing Module for Use Therein
The present invention provides a chair having a swing motion function and a swing module for use therein, the chair comprising: a leg module formed to be supported on the floor; a seat module disposed above the leg module and formed to support the body of a user; and a swing module configured to connect the leg module and the seat module and swing the seat module to both sides of the user with reference to the leg module as the user sitting on the seat module moves from side to side, wherein the swing module comprises: a lower fixed unit coupled to the leg module; an upper moving unit coupled to the seat module; and a link unit having a lower connection end rotatably connected to the lower fixed unit and an upper connection end rotatably connected to the upper moving unit so as to allow the upper moving unit to swing about the lower fixed unit.
ABDOMINAL EXERCISE DEVICE
An abdominal exercise device includes a frame comprising top, middle, and bottom frame sections. The middle frame section has a curved shape for creating a teeter-totter movement during exercise. The device includes a headrest connected to the bottom frame section, a plurality of connectors for connecting elastic bands to the frame, and an elastic band connected to at least two connectors. The two ends of the elastic band are connected to two straps. The device creates the teeter-totter movement to exercise the abdominal muscles in response to a person lying down in supine position with the back of the head on the headrest and the feet in the two straps, the person applying a downward pressure with the feet to the straps to move the headrest from a resting position, and the person removing the downward pressure to allow the headrest to go back to the resting position.
