Methods, systems and computer program products for timed deletion of images from a personal electronic device are provided. Aspects include receiving, by a processing unit of the personal electronic device, an image from a camera of the personal electronic device. Aspects also include storing, by the processing unit, the image in a first location in a memory of the personal electronic device. Aspects further include storing, by the processing unit, an indication of an expiration time for the image in the memory of the personal electronic device. Aspects also include removing, by the processing unit, the image from the first location in the memory based on a determination that a current time has passed the expiration time.
Control apparatus and control method therefor
When a controller receives a new command from a main controller during overwrite-deletion processing for a specific storage apparatus, the received command is stored at least until completion of the overwrite-deletion processing when the received command is a command to the specific storage apparatus. The non-volatile storage device is managed by a plurality of partitions. When an instruction to initialize the non-volatile storage device is issued, data indicating a use history of the information processing apparatus is saved from a first partition storing the setting data and the data indicating the use history. A Partition which includes data subjected to the initialization is erased. The same partition as that before the erasure is created in the erased area. Setting data, which is stored in the storage unit storing an initial value of the setting data, and the saved data indicating the use history are written in the first partition of the created partitions.
